6. Maintenance
6.1 Memory Card Care
- Always use a high-quality Class 10 Micro SD card.
- Format the memory card regularly (e.g., monthly) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
- Do not remove or insert the memory card while the dash cam is powered on or recording.
6.2 General Care
- Keep the camera lenses clean for clear recordings. Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected and not interfering with vehicle operation.
7. Troubleshooting
- Dash Cam not turning on: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's power source. Check the car's cigarette lighter or hardwire kit connection.
- Memory card abnormal/error: Format the SD card via the app settings. If the issue persists, replace the memory card with a new Class 10 or above Micro SD card.
- Cannot connect to WiFi: Ensure both the dash cam's WiFi and your phone's WiFi are enabled. Try restarting the dash cam's WiFi by clicking its button. If the problem continues, contact customer support.
- GPS signal issues: GPS signals can be affected by external interference, severe weather (rainstorm, snowstorm), tunnels, or remote mountainous areas. Ensure the GPS module (if external) is properly connected and positioned.
- GPS video playback issues: For PC, ensure you are using the GXPlayer software. For mobile, ensure videos are downloaded to local files within the "Viidure" app for offline viewing.
- Dash Cam shuts down unexpectedly in parking mode: Check the Low Voltage Regulation setting in the app. If the car battery voltage drops below this set value, the dash cam will shut down to protect the battery. Ensure your hardwire kit is correctly installed.
- Other issues: If you encounter any problems not listed here, try performing a factory reset via the app settings. If the issue remains unresolved, please contact customer support.
8. User Tips
- For optimal recording quality, always use a high-speed Class 10 Micro SD card. Lower quality cards may lead to recording errors or corrupted files.
- Regularly check your dash cam's mounting to ensure it remains secure and does not shift, which could affect recording angles.
- If using the 24-hour parking monitoring feature, ensure your hardwire kit is correctly installed and the low voltage cut-off is set appropriately to prevent draining your car battery.
