7. Maintenance

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose hardware to maintain structural integrity.
  • Base Stability: Ensure the base remains adequately filled with water or sand, especially after heavy use or changes in weather, to prevent tipping.
  • Cleaning: Clean the backboard and poles with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the materials.
  • Net Replacement: The product includes two solid PE nets. Replace the net if it becomes worn or damaged.

Two solid PE nets are included for replacement, ensuring longevity.

  • Weather Protection: While designed to be rust-resistant, storing the hoop indoors or covering it during prolonged periods of harsh weather can extend its lifespan.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Hoop feels unstable: Check if the base is fully filled with water or sand. Ensure all pole connections and base attachments are securely tightened. Consider using sand for increased stability.
  • Difficulty adjusting height: Ensure the adjustment mechanism is fully disengaged before attempting to move the pole. Clean any debris from the pole sections that might obstruct movement.
  • Backboard wobbles: Verify that the backboard bracket is tightly secured to both the backboard and the pole. Check for any loose hardware.
  • Net is damaged: Replace the damaged net with the spare net provided in the package.

9. User Tips

  • For younger children, start with the lowest height setting (4.43ft) and gradually increase as their skills develop.
  • When filling the base, sand generally provides more stability than water, especially in windy conditions or for more aggressive play.
  • To prolong the life of the net, consider removing it during periods of non-use or harsh weather.
  • Always ensure the area around the basketball hoop is clear of obstacles to prevent accidents during play.
