4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

The QPRO-S requires AA batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.

4.2. Mounting on Camera

Slide the QPRO-S onto your camera's hot shoe. Once in place, use the hot shoe quick lock to secure the trigger firmly to the camera. Ensure it is properly seated to establish electrical contact.

4.3. Power On

Flip the Power Switch to the 'ON' position. The LCD screen will illuminate, indicating the device is ready for use.

5. Operating Modes and Functions

5.1. Flash Modes

  • TTL Autoflash: Automatic flash exposure control.
  • Manual Flash (M): Manually set flash output power (from 1/1 to 1/128 or 1/1 to 1/256).
  • Multi Flash: Stroboscopic flash for capturing multiple movements in one frame.

5.2. High-Speed Sync (HSS)

The QPRO-S supports high-speed sync up to 1/8000s. To utilize HSS, ensure that the wireless flash mode is enabled on your camera.

5.3. Flash Exposure Compensation (FEC)

Adjust the flash output to fine-tune exposure. This can be done manually through the trigger's interface.

5.4. Screen Magnifier Function

The LCD screen displays settings for up to 5 groups (A to E) simultaneously. To view detailed settings for a single group, quickly double-press the corresponding group button. This will magnify the display for that specific group.

5.5. Group / Synchronous Flash Control

The QPRO-S allows wireless control of multiple groups of lights. It supports 5 groups, 32 channels, and 99 wireless IDs for stable and interference-free signals.

5.6. Single Contact Mode

Important Note: Please disable Single Contact Mode for TTL and High-Speed Sync functions. In Single Contact Mode, the trigger only emits a basic flash signal, and other advanced functions are not available. This mode primarily supports Manual (M) and Multi-flash modes for continuous shooting.

5.7. Memory Function

Any changes made to the settings will be automatically saved within 2 seconds and restored when the device is powered back on.

6. NEEWER 2.4G Wireless Q System

The QPRO-S features a built-in 2.4G wireless Q system for seamless communication with compatible NEEWER flashes.

6.1. Wireless Triggering

Wirelessly trigger NEEWER Q4, Q3, Z1-S, Z760-S, NW420-S, NW655-S, S101-300W PRO/400W PRO flashes. For flashes without a built-in Q system, you can use a NEEWER QR receiver and a 2.5mm sync cord (both sold separately) to enable wireless control.

6.2. Smart Connection with Wireless ID

To establish communication between the QPRO-S trigger and your flashes, set both the transmitter and receiver flashes to the same channel (1-32) and wireless ID (01-99). This system helps to avoid interference from other photographers using similar flash systems in the vicinity.

10. Troubleshooting
