4. Setup and Installation

Before installation, ensure the vehicle's power is off. The tracker requires a 2G SIM card (not included) with data and SMS capabilities for full functionality. Insert the SIM card into the device as per the instructions provided with the SIM card.

4.1 Recommended Installation Locations

Choosing the right installation spot is crucial for optimal GPS signal reception and device longevity. Ensure the antenna side of the tracker faces the sky and is not covered by metal objects. Implement waterproof measures if installing in exposed areas.

For Motorcycles:

  • Inside the tail lamp or a plastic component.
  • Inside the headlamp, near the odometer.

For Cars:

  • On the trunk.

4.2 Wiring Instructions

The device operates on a 9-90V DC power supply. Connect the red wire to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's power supply and the black wire to the negative (-) terminal (ground). For the CY03A model, an optional relay can be connected to enable remote fuel cut-off functionality. Consult a professional for complex wiring or if you are unsure.

Note: The CY03 model is a 2-pin device (power only), while the CY03A model is a 4-pin device, allowing for ACC detection and remote fuel cut-off relay connection.

5. Operation

5.1 Initial Power-On and Activation

  1. After successful wiring and SIM card insertion, turn on the vehicle's ignition. The tracker will power on automatically.
  2. Allow a few minutes for the device to acquire a GPS signal.
  3. To activate tracking, send an SMS command to the tracker's phone number (refer to specific SMS commands in the full manual or contact support).

5.2 Mobile Application (SECUMOREPLUS)

The primary method for interacting with your GPS tracker is through the "SECUMOREPLUS" mobile application or the web platform (www.gps2828.com).

  • Download: Scan the QR code in Figure 6 or visit www.gps2828.com to download the app.
  • Login: Use your device ID and password to log in.
  • Real-Time Tracking: View your vehicle's current location on the map.
  • Track Playback: Access historical routes for up to 180 days. The app displays the route, dwell time, speed, and direction.

  • Geo-fence Setup: Define virtual boundaries on the map. The app will generate an alarm when the vehicle enters or exits these areas.

  • Command Settings: Send various commands to the tracker, such as setting upload time, control commands, reboot, shock alarm settings, and query parameters.

5.3 Alarm Configuration

Alarms can typically be configured via the mobile app or SMS commands. Common alarms include:

  • Over-speed Alarm: Set a maximum speed limit. An alert is sent if the vehicle exceeds this speed.
  • Vibration Alarm: Notifies you if the vehicle experiences unusual vibrations or movement when parked.
  • ACC ON/OFF Alarm: Alerts you when the vehicle's ignition is turned on or off.
  • Power Removal Alarm: Notifies you if the tracker's main power supply is disconnected.

5.4 Remote Fuel Cut-off (CY03A only)

For the CY03A model, if an optional relay is installed, you can remotely cut off or restore the vehicle's fuel supply via the mobile application or SMS commands. This feature is intended for emergency use to prevent theft or unauthorized use.

6. Maintenance

  • Regular Checks: Periodically check the physical installation of the tracker to ensure it remains secure and connections are intact.
  • SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card has sufficient credit/data and is active for continuous tracking.
  • Software Updates: Keep the SECUMOREPLUS app updated to the latest version for optimal performance and new features.
  • Cleaning: Keep the device free from dust and moisture. Do not use harsh chemicals for cleaning.
  • Waterproofing: If the device is installed in an area exposed to elements, regularly check the waterproof measures to ensure they are effective.

7. Troubleshooting

  • The "Silent work" feature ensures the tracker operates without any audible indications, making it discreet.
