Operating Instructions
Basic Functions
- Typing: Use the keys as a standard 87-key keyboard.
- Function Keys: The F1-F12 keys may have secondary functions accessible via the Fn key. Refer to the keycap legends for specific combinations (e.g., multimedia controls, volume).
Backlight Control
The keyboard features a multicolor RGB backlight and an independent light bar. Specific key combinations (e.g., Fn + arrow keys, Fn + specific function keys) are typically used to change lighting modes, brightness, and speed. Refer to the keyboard's keycap legends or a dedicated software (if available) for detailed controls.

Hot-Swappable Switches
The NEO87 supports full key hot-swapping, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering.
To Replace a Switch:
- Use the provided keycap puller to carefully remove the keycap from the desired switch.
- Use the switch puller to gently extract the switch from the PCB.
- Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
- Reattach the keycap.
Ensure the new switches are compatible with the keyboard's PCB (e.g., 3-pin or 5-pin).

Battery Management
The keyboard is equipped with an 8000mAh lithium battery.
- Charging: Connect the keyboard via the Type-C USB cable to a power source (computer USB port or USB charger). An indicator light will show the charging status.
- Battery Life: Approximately 30-40 days in no-light mode, and up to 28 hours at maximum brightness with lighting enabled.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your keyboard, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning Keycaps: Use a keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a mild soap solution and a soft brush, then rinse and dry thoroughly before reattaching.
- Cleaning the Board: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between switches. A soft, dry cloth can be used to wipe the keyboard surface.
- Avoid Liquids: Do not expose the keyboard to liquids. In case of spills, immediately disconnect the keyboard and allow it to dry completely before reconnecting.
- Storage: Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Responding
- Wired Mode: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable.
- 2.4G Wireless Mode: Ensure the 2.4G receiver is plugged in and the keyboard switch is set to "2.4G". Try re-pairing by unplugging and replugging the receiver, then toggling the keyboard switch.
- Bluetooth Mode: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the keyboard switch is set to "BT". Try re-pairing the keyboard through your device's Bluetooth settings. Ensure the keyboard is charged.
- Battery: Check if the keyboard battery is charged. Connect it via USB cable to charge.
Keys Not Registering / Double Typing
- This could indicate a faulty switch. Utilize the hot-swap feature to replace the problematic switch. Ensure the new switch is properly seated.
- Clean under the keycap and around the switch to remove any debris.
Backlight Not Working / Incorrectly Displaying
- Ensure the backlight is enabled and brightness is turned up using the appropriate Fn key combinations.
- If using software, check software settings.
- Try resetting the keyboard (e.g., by turning it off and on, or disconnecting and reconnecting).
Connectivity Issues (Lag/Disconnections)
- Wireless Modes: Ensure there are no strong interfering signals (e.g., other 2.4G devices, Wi-Fi routers) nearby. Move the keyboard closer to the receiver/device. Try switching to wired mode to confirm the issue is wireless-specific.
- Bluetooth: Ensure your device's Bluetooth drivers are up to date.
