3. Installation and Setup

3.5 Smartphone APP and Voice Control Setup

To enable smartphone APP control and third-party voice control (e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant), a Miboxer 2.4GHz gateway (e.g., WL-Box2) is required (purchased separately).

  1. Install the Miboxer 2.4GHz gateway according to its instructions.
  2. Download the appropriate Miboxer control APP on your smartphone.
  3. Follow the APP's instructions to connect the gateway and then link the TRI-C1 dimmer to the gateway.
  4. For voice control, integrate the Miboxer APP with your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant account.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Push Dimming

When connected to a push switch, the dimmer offers intuitive control:

  • One click: Turns the lights ON or OFF.
  • Long press: Increases or decreases the brightness. Release and long press again to change dimming direction.

4.2 RF Remote Control

Once paired with an RF remote, you can control the brightness wirelessly. The dimmer supports 0-100% stepless dimming, ensuring smooth light transitions without flickering.

4.3 Smartphone APP and Voice Control

With the 2.4GHz gateway and Miboxer APP, you can control your lights from your smartphone or via voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This allows for remote control, scheduling, and integration into smart home routines.

4.4 Setting Minimum Brightness

The dimmer allows you to set a minimum brightness value using a remote control. This can be useful to prevent lights from turning off completely or to maintain a desired low light level.

4.5 Auto Transmitting Function

The TRI-C1 dimmer features an auto transmitting function, allowing it to relay signals to another dimmer within 30 meters. This effectively extends the control distance, making the overall control range unlimited if multiple dimmers are installed within 30m of each other.

  • Remote control not working:
    • Ensure the remote control is within the 30m control distance.

The TRI-C1 dimmer is equipped with built-in over heat and over load protection. If the device detects an unsafe temperature or excessive load, it will automatically shut down to prevent damage. Allow the device to cool down or reduce the load before attempting to use it again.

  • Dimming Range: The dimmer provides 0-100% stepless dimming. If you find the lowest brightness too high, utilize the 'Set up min brightness' feature with a compatible remote to fine-tune your desired minimum level.
  • Extended Range: For larger areas, leverage the auto transmitting function by installing multiple TRI-C1 dimmers within 30 meters of each other to create an extended control network.
