1. Product Overview

This manual provides detailed instructions for the 70mai Rearview Dash Cam S410. Please read it carefully before use and keep it in a safe place for future reference. Note that illustrations in this manual are for reference purposes only, and the actual product and functions may vary due to product enhancements. The provided manual content is primarily based on the S500 model, but the instructions are generally applicable to the S410.

3. Installation and Setup

3.1. Installing the Memory Card

A memory card (sold separately) must be installed in the dash cam before use. Insert the memory card into the card slot with its contacts facing down.

3.2. Installing the Dash Cam

Position the dash cam's display screen facing the interior of the car and the back of the device snug against the car's original rearview mirror. Adjust the position of the dash cam to ensure that the camera is not obstructed. Secure the dash cam to the rearview mirror using the provided straps.

Note: If the original rearview mirror is too long, adjust the position of the camera by using the telescoping body.

3.3. Connecting Power Cord

Connect the power cord to the power port on the dash cam.

3.4. Routing Cable

Route the power cord to the vehicle's power outlet and connect to power. Start the car engine, and the dash cam will automatically turn on.

  • Use the included wiring trim tool to hide the power cord underneath the headliner and rubber seal along the A-pillar.
  • Depending on the vehicle, the power outlet may be located in a different position. The provided figure is for reference only.

3.5. Adjusting the Camera Angle

When the dash cam turns on, adjust the camera angle based on the image presented on the screen.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Display Modes and Controls

The 9.35-inch full-touch screen allows for simple operation and multiple display options.

  • Tap settings / Video confirmation / Sound switch / Brightness adjustment / Image zoom / Emergency recording.
  • Swipe up and down to adjust the angle of the front and rear cameras.
  • Swipe left and right to switch monitor screens (Front view, Rear view, Front + Rear view, Picture-in-Picture, Video Zoom x1.5, Video Zoom x2).

4.2. Voice Control

The dash cam supports voice control to trigger relevant functions. If the system language is set to Traditional Chinese, Mandarin voice commands are supported. For all other languages, only English voice commands are supported.

* Note: To use 'Show front camera' and 'Show rear camera' commands, ensure the backup camera is correctly installed and connected. Voice control is not supported when the dash cam is connected to the 70mai app.

4.3. 70mai App Integration

The 70mai Dash Cam S410 can be used with the 70mai app. Download and install the app by scanning the QR code or searching for “70mai” in your app store.

Note: Android 5.0 & iOS 11.0 or above is required to connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi hotspot with a mobile phone.

4.4. Advanced Features

  • External GPS Module: Automatically records driving tracks, date, time, and real-time speed. Review your driving history on the app. (Requires external GPS module).

  • 24H Smart Parking Surveillance: Features Collision Detection, Time-lapse Recording, and Loop Recording for continuous monitoring when parked. (Requires 70mai Hardwire Kit UP03/UP06, sold separately).

  • Loop Recording: When the memory card is full, the oldest files are overwritten sequentially for continuous recording.

  • Time-lapse Mode: Captures long parking periods efficiently, condensing hours of footage into a shorter video, saving storage and power. (Requires 70mai Hardwire Kit UP03/UP06, sold separately).
  • Reverse Parking Assistance: The reverse imaging automatically switches to full-screen display when reversing, allowing touch-sensitive adjustments and providing a wide field of view with virtually no distortion.

  • Night Vision & WDR: Crystal-clear night driving with enhanced exposure, reduced noise, and glare control. F1.55 large aperture lens captures more light, brightens dark scenes, and preserves details on reflective plates. WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) balances exposure and color for vivid, readable images in tough lighting.

  • Supercapacitor Solution: Provides emergency backup to help save footage during sudden power loss. Stable in extreme climates, safe from swelling or leakage. Supports up to 500,000+ charge cycles.

5. Memory Card Instructions

The dash cam supports standard microSD cards with a capacity of 32GB ~ 128GB and a rating of class 10, U1 or higher. Please purchase branded, certified cards via verified retailers.

  • The default file partition format of the memory card may not be compatible with the dash cam. Therefore, when inserting the memory card for the first time, please format it in the dash cam before use.
  • Important: Formatting the memory card will erase all files on it. Back up any important data beforehand.
  • Memory cards may become damaged or deteriorated after repeated cycles of overwriting. If this occurs, immediately replace it with a new memory card.
  • Inferior memory cards may have issues with actual reading/writing speeds or storage capacity. We are not liable for lost or damaged videos due to low-quality memory cards.
  • Do not insert or remove a memory card while the dash cam is turned on.

6. Precautions

Before using this dash cam, please read all precautions and the user guide to ensure correct and safe use.

  • This dash cam is a driving aid designed to record external images of the vehicle. It does not ensure driving safety. Users must abide by local traffic rules and regulations and prioritize driving safety. Do not operate this product while driving.
  • Due to vehicle conditions, driving style, environment, and other factors, some functions may not work properly. Power failure, usage outside normal operating temperature/humidity range, collision, or a damaged memory card can cause abnormal function. There is no guarantee that this dash cam will function normally under all circumstances. Videos recorded are for reference purposes only.
  • Install the dash cam correctly; do not block the driver's line of sight or the vehicle's airbag to avoid product failure or personal injury.
  • If the front windshield is covered with colored automotive film, it may affect video recording quality or cause distortion.
  • Avoid collisions or forceful jolts to the dash cam to prevent malfunction.
  • Never use chemical solvents or detergents to wash the dash cam.
  • Keep the dash cam away from strong magnetic fields to prevent damage.
  • Do not use the dash cam in environments with temperatures over 60°C or below -10°C.
  • The outer casing temperature may rise after prolonged operation; be careful when touching.
  • Only use this dash cam within the scope permitted by law.
  • Use the included car charger, power cord, and other accessories to avoid product failure due to non-conformance. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by non-genuine accessories.
  • If using a power adapter to charge, use only those that comply with local safety standards or are certified by qualified manufacturers.
  • The dash cam and its accessories may contain small parts. Keep it out of reach of children to avoid choking or other hazards.

8. User Tips

  • Reverse Camera Display: When engaging reverse gear, the rear camera image will automatically switch to a full-screen display, allowing for touch-sensitive adjustments and providing a wide field of view with virtually no distortion.
  • Parking Surveillance: For 24-hour smart parking surveillance features like collision detection and time-lapse recording, the 70mai Hardwire Kit UP03/UP06 is required and sold separately.
  • GPS Functionality: To enable automatic recording of driving tracks, date, time, and real-time speed, an external GPS module is required.
  • Memory Card Compatibility: Always use a high-quality microSD card (Class 10, U1 or higher, 32GB-128GB) from a reputable vendor to ensure reliable recording and prevent data loss.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check if the car engine is running.
  • Memory Card Errors: If you experience issues with recording or saving files, try formatting the memory card through the dash cam's settings. If problems persist, replace the memory card with a new, high-quality one (Class 10, U1 or higher).
  • Voice Control Not Responding: Verify that the dash cam is not connected to the 70mai app, as voice control is disabled when connected. Check the OSD language settings; only English voice commands are supported for most languages.
  • Poor Video Quality/Distortion: Ensure the camera lens is clean. Check if any colored automotive film on the front windshield is obstructing the camera. Adjust the camera angle for optimal view.
  • Parking Surveillance Not Working: Confirm that the 70mai Hardwire Kit UP03/UP06 is correctly installed and connected, as it is required for this feature.
  • GPS Data Not Recording: Ensure an external GPS module is connected to the dash cam.
