8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your thermostat, refer to the following common solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Thermostat not powering on | No power supply; incorrect wiring. | Check the main power supply to the thermostat. Verify wiring connections according to the installation diagrams. |
| Wi-Fi not connecting or blinking | Incorrect Wi-Fi password; 5GHz network; too far from router. | Ensure you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Re-enter the Wi-Fi password in the app. Move the thermostat closer to the router or consider a Wi-Fi extender. |
| Temperature reading inaccurate | Sensor issue; thermostat placed near heat source/draft. | Ensure the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or other heat sources. If using a floor sensor, check its connection. |
| Cannot control via voice assistant (Alexa/Google Home/HomeKit) | App not linked; Matter hub not set up (for HomeKit). | Verify that the Smart Life app is correctly linked to your voice assistant account. For HomeKit, ensure you have a HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV set up as a home hub. |
9. User Tips
- Model Selection for Heating Systems: When purchasing, ensure you select the correct model for your heating system:
- GA model: For Water Heating systems.
- GB model: For Electric Floor Heating systems.
- GC model: For Gas Boiler systems.
- Optimal Placement: Install the thermostat on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight, windows, or heat-emitting appliances, to ensure accurate temperature readings.
