4.2 Power On and Pairing
- First, turn on the remote control's power switch. The green indicator light on the remote control should be constantly on.
- Next, turn on the bait boat's power switch. Wait until the boat's lights are constantly on.
- The remote control will emit a beep sound, indicating successful pairing.
Important: Do not place the boat on a slope or in water, and do not shake the boat before its lights are constantly on during power-up.
4.3 Geomagnetic Calibration
Geomagnetic calibration is crucial for accurate GPS functionality. Perform this step in an open area away from obstacles.
- Place the boat in the water, approximately 7-8 meters (23-26 feet) from the shore, ensuring no obstacles are nearby.
- Wait for the GPS signal to be acquired (indicated on the remote control's LCD screen).
- On the remote control, hold down the OK button.
- While holding OK, click the small round button in the upper left corner (Calibration Button). The remote control's red light will flash.
- The boat will automatically perform a series of turns (three left turns and three right turns).
- Once the boat stops turning, the calibration is complete. The remote control will beep twice.
4.4 Setting Origin Point (Point 4)
It is recommended to set an origin point (Point 4) before using the boat for navigation. This point will be used for automatic return functions.
- Drive the boat to your desired origin location.
- On the remote control, click the OK button.
- Then, press the No. 4 key. When the No. 4 indicator on the remote control flashes, Point 4 is set as the origin.
5. Operation
5.1 Manual Control
Use the direction control joysticks on the remote control to maneuver the boat:
- Left Joystick: Controls the left motor for forward/backward movement and turning.
- Right Joystick: Controls the right motor for forward/backward movement and turning.
5.2 Bait Release

The boat has three bait containers with a total bearing capacity of approximately 4.4 lbs (2 kg).
- Left & Right Bait Containers: Use the corresponding buttons on the remote control to open these containers. After releasing bait, you must manually pull the boat back to close these containers.
- Rear Bait Container: Use the corresponding button on the remote control to open and close this container. It has a self-returning function.
5.3 Fixed Speed Cruise
- Push both the left and right joysticks to their maximum forward position.
- Press the B button on the remote control to enter cruise mode.
- While in cruise mode, you can use the joysticks to fine-tune the boat's sailing direction.
- Press the B button again to exit cruise mode.
5.4 GPS Positioning and Automatic Return

The GPS function allows you to set up to 16 arbitrary positioning points. The boat can navigate to these points and return to the origin.
- Storing Positioning Points: Ensure the GPS icon is displayed on the remote control. Drive the boat to your desired location (Point 1, 2, or 3). Press the OK button, then press the corresponding GPS Positioning Button (1, 2, or 3). The screen will display the corresponding number, indicating the point is set. You can store up to 4 points (including the origin Point 4).
- Automatic Cruise to Points: Press the desired GPS Positioning Button (1, 2, or 3) on the remote control. The boat will automatically navigate to that point. The remote control screen will display the distance to the target point. The cruise ends when the boat is approximately 1 meter from the target.
- Automatic Return to Origin: If the boat encounters signal loss or low battery, it will automatically return to the origin (Point 4) after 15 seconds. To manually initiate return, press the No. 4 button on the remote control. The boat will adjust its direction and slowly return to Point 4.
5.5 Night Fishing Features

The V18 bait boat is equipped with 1 front white light and 2 rear blue night lights, which can be controlled via the remote control's Night Light Control button, making it suitable for night fishing and feeding.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Care
- If the boat will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery from the boat and store it in a cool, dry place.
- Charge the battery periodically (e.g., every 3 months) even when not in use to maintain its health.
- The remote control's LCD screen displays the boat's battery level (4 levels). When the battery icon shows one bar, recharge or replace the battery.
6.2 Motor and Propellers
- After each use, inspect the motors and propellers for any tangled debris (e.g., fishing lines, weeds). Clean them carefully to ensure optimal performance.
6.3 Boat Body
- After each use, wipe the boat body dry to prevent water damage and keep it clean.
- Store the bait boat in its accompanying bag or a suitable container to protect it from dust and physical damage when not in use.
- Avoid storing the boat with corrosive liquids or near high-temperature objects.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Boat Deviation or Incorrect Position: If the boat deviates from its path or navigates to the wrong position, perform a geomagnetic calibration again (refer to Section 4.3).
- Signal Loss: If the boat's signal is poor, the remote controller will emit a "drop" sound. If signal loss persists for an extended period, the boat will automatically return to the origin (Point 4).
- Low Battery: When the boat's battery icon starts flashing on the remote control, it indicates a low battery state. The boat will automatically return to the origin (Point 4).
- Bait Container Buckle Damage: The buckle for the rear bait container should only be closed using the remote control. Attempting to close it manually can damage the buckle. The left and right bait containers require manual retrieval of the boat to close.
- Remote Control Screen Issues: Ensure the remote control is kept dry. Water exposure can damage the screen and functionality.

9. User Tips
- Battery Management: Always monitor the boat's battery level on the remote control's LCD display. Consider carrying a spare charged battery for extended fishing sessions, especially if you have the 5200mAh version, as charging time is significant.
- Bait Container Buckle: For the rear bait container, always use the remote control to close the buckle. Closing it manually can cause damage. The left and right bait containers do not have a self-returning function and require the boat to be manually retrieved to close them.
- Calibration is Key: Perform geomagnetic calibration before each use, especially if you are in a new location or notice any navigation inaccuracies. This ensures optimal GPS performance.
