4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up and install your Carplay screen:

4.1 Mounting the Device

Choose between the suction cup mount or the dashboard mount based on your preference and vehicle's dashboard design. Ensure the chosen location does not obstruct your view or interfere with vehicle controls.

  1. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
  2. Attach the desired mount to the back of the main unit.

4.3 Audio Output Setup

You have two options for audio output:

  • FM Wireless Output:
    1. On the Carplay screen, select the FM transmission option.
    2. Choose an unused FM frequency (e.g., 93.6MHz) from the available presets.
    3. Tune your car's radio to the same FM frequency.
    4. The audio from the Carplay screen will now play through your car's speakers.
  • AUX Line Wired Output:
    1. Connect one end of the provided 3.5mm AUX cable to the Audio Output port on the Carplay screen.
    2. Connect the other end of the AUX cable to your car's AUX input port.
    3. Select AUX input on your car's audio system.
    4. The audio from the Carplay screen will now play through your car's speakers.

4.4 Reversing Camera Installation (Optional)

If you have purchased the optional reversing camera:

  1. Connect the reversing camera cable to the "Reversing camera input" port on the main unit.
  2. Follow the camera's specific instructions for mounting and wiring to your vehicle's reverse light circuit.
  3. The screen will automatically switch to the reverse image when reverse gear is engaged.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

The device will power on automatically when your vehicle's ignition is turned on and power is supplied to the 12V outlet. To power off, simply turn off your vehicle's ignition.

5.2 Touchscreen Navigation

The 10.26-inch IPS display is a full touchscreen. Navigate through menus, select applications, and control functions by tapping, swiping, and dragging on the screen.

5.5 Mirrorlink (Screen Mirroring)

Mirrorlink allows you to project your mobile phone screen onto the Carplay screen.

  • For Apple iOS devices: The Apple mobile phone can be connected to the screen, but it does not support bilateral screen touch (touch control from the Carplay screen).
  • For Android devices: The Android phone will prompt you to install an APP Screen projection software. Once installed, it can be used with touch control on both sides (from the phone and the Carplay screen).

5.6 Voice Control

Utilize your smartphone's voice assistant for hands-free operation:
