5.1 General Cleaning

  1. Always unplug the sterilizer and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Remove the bottle holders and trays and wash them with warm soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

5.2 Descaling the Heating Plate

Over time, mineral deposits (scale) may accumulate on the heating plate, especially if tap water is used. Regular descaling is essential for optimal performance and longevity.

Step-by-step descaling guide for the sterilizer

Figure 6: Descaling Guide.

  1. Step 1: Add water to the heating plate, then add a few drops of white vinegar or 1/3 packet of descaling agent.
  2. Step 2: Boil for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn off the unit and let it soak for approximately 12 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Pour out the dirty water and any detached scale. Wipe the heating plate clean with a soft, dry cloth.
  4. Important Note: Do NOT boil water mixed with vinegar or descaling agent until it dries out completely.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Unit not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 220V outlet.
  • 'Lack of Water' indicator: If the indicator lights up, add water to the heating plate. The unit will not operate without sufficient water for steam generation.
  • Items not drying completely: Ensure items are not overloaded or blocking air circulation. Check that the drying time selected is appropriate for the load.
  • White spots on heating plate: This is normal scale buildup due to water minerals. Refer to the 'Descaling the Heating Plate' section for cleaning instructions.
