Congratulations on your purchase of the NOKLEAD Projection Digital Alarm Clock. This versatile device features time, date, month, and temperature display, along with an alarm clock function, white backlight, and a red-light projection time display. Its 180° adjustable angle and ultra-clear projection make it convenient to read the time, even in the dark.

Key Features

  • Ultra Clear Projection: Projects clear red numbers on the ceiling or wall with a 180° rotating projector and adjustable focus ring. Projection distance ranges from 1.64-11.4 feet (0.5-3 meters).
  • Multi-Display LCD Screen: A 3.9-inch LCD screen displays clock time, alarm time, calendar date, day of the week, and temperature.

Note: A 5V 1A power adapter and 3 AAA batteries are NOT included and must be purchased separately.

Setup

Powering On

  1. Connect the alarm clock to a power source using the provided micro USB cable and a 5V 1A USB power adapter (not included). This will turn on the clock.
  2. For backup power and to retain settings during a power outage, insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment.

Operating Instructions

Controls Overview

The alarm clock features several buttons for easy operation:

  • Time Setting Button (Clock Icon): Used to set the time and switch 12/24H format.
  • Alarm Setting Button (Bell Icon): Used to set the alarm time and volume.
  • Dimmer/Snooze Button (Zzz / Sun Icon): Adjusts backlight brightness and activates snooze.
  • Calendar Setting Button (Calendar Icon): Used to set the date (year, month, day).
  • Time Projection Button (Projector Icon): Controls projection brightness and flips projection.
  • Up/Temperature Unit Switch Button (+): Adjusts values up and switches between °C/°F.
  • Down/Weekend Mode Button (-): Adjusts values down and activates/deactivates Weekend Mode.

Time Setting

  1. Press and hold the Time Setting button (Clock Icon) to activate time setting mode. The hour display will start to blink.
  2. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press the Time Setting button (Clock Icon) again to save the hour and move to minute setting. The minute display will blink.
  4. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the minute.
  5. Press the Time Setting button (Clock Icon) once more to save and exit time setting.
  6. To quickly adjust: Press and hold the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons.
  7. 12/24 Hour Format: During normal time display, press the Time Setting button (Clock Icon) to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour formats. In 12-hour format, "AM" or "PM" icons will appear. In 24-hour format, these icons will not be displayed.

Date Setting

  1. Press and hold the Calendar Setting button (Calendar Icon) to enter date setting mode. The year display will start to blink.
  2. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the year.
  3. Press the Calendar Setting button (Calendar Icon) again to save the year and move to month setting. The month display will blink.
  4. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the month.
  5. Press the Calendar Setting button (Calendar Icon) again to save the month and move to day setting. The day display will blink.
  6. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the day.
  7. Press the Calendar Setting button (Calendar Icon) once more to save and exit date setting. The day of the week will be automatically assigned based on the set date.

Alarm Setting

  1. Press the Alarm Setting button (Bell Icon) to open the alarm clock function.
  2. Press and hold the Alarm Setting button (Bell Icon) to enter alarm setting mode. The hour display will start to blink.
  3. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
  4. Press the Alarm Setting button (Bell Icon) again to save the hour and move to minute setting. The minute display will blink.
  5. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the alarm minute.
  6. Press the Alarm Setting button (Bell Icon) again to save the minute and move to alarm volume setting. "L01" will blink.
  7. Press the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to select "L01" (low volume) or "L02" (high volume).
  8. Press the Alarm Setting button (Bell Icon) once more to save and exit alarm setting.
  9. Alarm On/Off: In normal time display mode, press the Alarm Setting button (Bell Icon) to toggle the alarm on or off. When the alarm is on, an alarm icon will be displayed on the screen.

Weekend Mode

When the alarm is turned on, and the alarm icon is displayed on the screen, press the Down (-) button to toggle Weekend Mode on or off. When Weekend Mode is on, the alarm will not sound on Saturday and Sunday.

Snooze Function

  1. When the alarm is sounding, press the Dimmer/Snooze button (Zzz / Sun Icon) to temporarily stop the alarm and activate snooze mode. The alarm will sound again 9 minutes later.
  2. To turn off the snooze function and stop the alarm completely, press any button except the Dimmer/Snooze button (Zzz / Sun Icon) while the alarm is sounding.

Backlight Brightness Adjustment

  • When powered by AAA batteries only: The backlight brightness is set at 100% and turns off automatically after 5 seconds. Press the Dimmer/Snooze button (Zzz / Sun Icon) once to turn on the backlight.
  • When powered by USB: The default backlight is set at 60%. Press the Dimmer/Snooze button (Zzz / Sun Icon) to cycle through brightness levels: 100%, Off, 10%, 60%.

Projection Brightness Adjustment

  • When powered by AAA batteries only: The default projection brightness is set at 60% and turns off automatically after 10 seconds. Press the Time Projection button (Projector Icon) once to turn on the projection.
  • When powered by USB: The default projection brightness is set at 100%. Press the Time Projection button (Projector Icon) to cycle through brightness levels: Off, 10%, 60%, 100%.

Projection Direction and Focus

  • Projection Flip: Press and hold the Time Projection button (Projector Icon) to rotate the projection image 180 degrees. This allows the time to be read vertically regardless of the clock's orientation.
  • Focus Ring: Use the focus ring on the side of the projector to adjust the clarity of the projected numbers, ensuring clear visibility from various distances.

Switching Temperature Units (°C/°F)

In normal display mode, press the Up (+) button to switch the temperature units between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).

Troubleshooting

  • Optimal Projection: For the clearest projection, ensure the room is as dark as possible. Adjust the focus ring on the projector to sharpen the image on your ceiling or wall.
  • Battery Backup: Always keep fresh AAA batteries installed to ensure your alarm settings are retained and the alarm functions during power outages.
  • Manual Time Setting: This clock does not feature automatic time synchronization (like DCF). Remember to manually set the time and date after initial setup or if the backup batteries are depleted.
  • Placement: Position the clock where the projection can be easily seen without obstruction, and where the buttons are accessible for adjustments.
