4. Setup

  1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Inspect them for any damage.
  2. Charge the Tattoo Pen: Before first use, ensure the tattoo pen is fully charged using the provided Type-C charging cable. The charging interface is located at the bottom of the pen.
  3. Attach Needle Cartridge: Gently push a sterile tattoo cartridge needle into the front opening of the tattoo pen until it clicks securely into place. Ensure it is firmly seated to prevent movement during operation.
  4. Prepare Ink: Pour a small amount of desired tattoo ink into a clean tattoo cup with a base.

5. Operating Instructions

The Poseidon Tattoo Pen features an intuitive display and controls for easy operation.

  1. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (located at the top of the pen) to turn the machine on or off. The display will illuminate, showing current voltage and battery level.
  2. Adjust Voltage: Use the "+" key to increase the voltage and the "-" key to decrease the voltage. Adjust to your desired working voltage (range 4-12V).
  3. Forced Start Mode: For certain needle types or to overcome initial resistance, double-click the power button to activate the forced start mode. A lightning bolt icon will appear on the display.
  4. Dotting Mode: To enter dotting mode, press and hold the "+" key. The display will show "NPS" (Needle Punctures per Second) indicating the dotting frequency.
  5. Tattooing: Dip the needle into the ink cup to load ink. Begin tattooing on your practice skin or prepared surface.

6. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your tattoo kit.

  • Cleaning: After each use, carefully remove the needle cartridge. Wipe down the exterior of the tattoo pen with a disinfectant wipe. Do not immerse the pen in liquid.
  • Needle Disposal: Always dispose of used needle cartridges in a designated sharps container.
  • Storage: Store the tattoo pen and accessories in a clean, dry, and cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Charging Port: Keep the Type-C charging port free from dust, debris, and ink residue.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your POSEIDON Tattoo Kit, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Pen not turning on:
    • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the Type-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 3 hours.
    • Press and hold the power button firmly for a few seconds.
  • Needle not moving or weak operation:
    • Check if the needle cartridge is correctly and securely attached to the pen.
    • Increase the voltage using the "+" button.
    • Try activating the forced start mode by double-clicking the power button.
    • Ensure the battery has sufficient charge.
  • Voltage not adjusting:
    • Ensure the "+" and "-" buttons are pressed firmly.
    • If the issue persists, try restarting the device.
  • Ink leakage:
    • Ensure the needle cartridge is properly seated and not damaged.
    • The aluminum alloy protective layer is designed to prevent ink leakage, but always double-check the needle connection.

8. User Tips

  • Sterilization is Key: Always use new, sterile needle cartridges for each session to prevent contamination.
  • Practice Makes Perfect: Utilize the included silicone practice skin to hone your tattooing skills and get accustomed to the machine's feel before working on real skin.
  • Voltage Experimentation: Different tattoo styles and needle configurations may require varying voltages. Experiment on practice skin to find the optimal settings for your desired outcome.
  • Ergonomics: The pen's lightweight design and comfortable grip are intended to reduce fatigue. Take breaks during long sessions to maintain focus and precision.
