4. Setup Instructions
4.1 Physical Installation
The module is designed for DIN rail installation. Ensure it is securely mounted in a suitable enclosure or panel.

4.2 Wiring
Safety First: Always ensure power is disconnected before performing any wiring. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
The module uses a zero-fire line wiring mode. Refer to the diagrams below for specific connections.

Terminal Descriptions:
- L & N: Live and Neutral power input (AC 100-240V).
- L1-L4: 220V/50A Relay outputs (for high-power loads).
- L5-L10: 220V/16A Relay outputs.
- L11-L16: AC 250V/16A Relay outputs.
- DC 24V/6A, IN: DC power input terminal.
- RS485 (A, B): Interface for RS485 switches.
- K1-K8, K9-K16: Dry contact interfaces for external switches (e.g., rocker switches).
General Wiring for Lights (Example):
- Connect the Live wire (e.g., black) to the 'L' terminal and the Neutral wire (e.g., white) to the 'N' terminal of the module.
- For a light, connect one wire from the light to an available relay output (e.g., L1).
- Connect the other wire from the light to the Neutral line (N).
Wiring for Motors (Example - 6-Gang Model PN6):
- Connect the motor's forward and reverse control wires (e.g., red and black) to L5 and L6 terminals respectively.
- Ensure the motor's power supply is correctly connected to the module's input.

4.3 App Pairing
- Download the 'Tuya Smart' or 'Smart Life' app from your mobile app store.
- Register or log in to your account.
- Power on the relay module.
- Long press the 'RST' (Reset) button on the module until the red indicator light starts flashing rapidly. This indicates it's in pairing mode.
- In the app, tap '+' to add a new device. The app should automatically discover the module. If not, manually select 'Electrical' > 'Switch (Wi-Fi)'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the module to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

4.4 RS485 Switch Pairing
To pair an RS485 switch with the module:
- Ensure the RS485 switch is correctly wired to the A and B terminals of the module.
- Long press the corresponding channel button on the relay module (e.g., for channel 1, long press button 1).
- While holding the module button, press the desired button on the RS485 switch. The module's indicator light should flash to confirm pairing.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 App Control
Once paired, you can control the module via the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app:
- Remote ON/OFF: Tap the switch icon for each channel to turn connected devices on or off.
- Independent Control: Each channel (gang) can be controlled individually.
- Timing: Set schedules, countdowns, or repeating timers for automated operation.
- Scene Linkage: Create smart scenes to automate multiple devices based on conditions (e.g., turn on lights when a door sensor is triggered).
- Power-on State Setting: Configure the module's state after a power outage (e.g., stay off, stay on, or resume last state).

5.2 Voice Control
Integrate with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for hands-free control:
- Link your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account to your Alexa or Google Home app.
- Discover devices.
- Use voice commands such as: "Alexa, turn on Light 1" or "Hey Google, turn off the garage door."
5.3 Manual Control
The module features physical buttons for each channel (1-16) on the panel. Pressing a button will toggle the corresponding relay. The LED indicators will show the current status of each channel.
5.4 Working Modes
The module supports three working modes, configurable via the app:
- Self-locking Mode: Press the button once to turn on, press again to turn off. (Standard toggle switch behavior).
- Inching Mode: Press the button to turn on, and it will automatically turn off after a preset time (configurable in the app). Ideal for momentary actions like opening a gate.
- Interlock Mode: Only one channel can be active at a time. If one channel is turned on, any other active channel will automatically turn off. Useful for motor control (forward/reverse) where only one direction should be active.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the module in a dry environment, away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- Regularly check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure.
- Clean the exterior of the module with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the module to prevent overheating.
7. Troubleshooting
- Module not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check Wi-Fi signal strength. Re-enter pairing mode by long-pressing the RST button until the indicator flashes rapidly.
- App not discovering the module: Make sure the module is in pairing mode (rapidly flashing red indicator). Restart the app and try again. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on for faster discovery.
- Connected appliance not responding: Verify all wiring connections are correct and secure. Check the power supply to both the module and the appliance. Confirm the correct working mode is selected in the app.
- RS485 switch not working: Check the A and B wiring for the RS485 connection. Re-attempt the RS485 pairing process as described in Section 4.4.
- Voice control issues: Ensure your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app. Check the device names in the smart assistant app to match your voice commands.
8. User Tips
- When integrating with a traditional switch system, ensure you understand the dry contact wiring for external switches (K1-K16 terminals) to avoid conflicts with the smart module's operation.
- For complex setups or if you encounter persistent issues, refer to the in-app FAQ or contact customer support for detailed guidance.
- Utilize the scene linkage function in the app to create advanced automations, such as triggering alarms based on digital output states if supported by your connected sensors.
