4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the WM650 system. Place the transmitters and receiver into the charging case. Connect the charging case to a 5V/1A USB power source using the provided USB-C cable. The indicator lights on the case and devices will show charging status. A full charge provides up to 18 hours of combined use with the charging case.

4.2 Pairing

The transmitters and receiver are pre-paired at the factory. If re-pairing is needed:

  1. Ensure both the transmitter(s) and receiver are powered on.
  2. Place them close to each other.
  3. Refer to the device's indicator lights for pairing status (e.g., flashing rapidly then solid when paired).

4.3 Connecting to Your Mobile Phone

The WM650 receiver connects directly to your mobile phone's USB-C port (for Android and iPhone 15) or Lightning port (for older iPhones, adapter may be needed if not included). No additional drivers are required.

  • Plug the receiver into your phone's charging/data port.
  • The phone should automatically recognize the external microphone.
  • Open your recording or live streaming application.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Wearing the Transmitter

The WM650 transmitter can be worn in two ways:

  • Clip-on: Use the integrated clip to attach the transmitter to your collar or clothing, ensuring the microphone faces your mouth.

The transmitter features a 4-step mic gain control. Adjust this slider to optimize your audio input level, preventing distortion or ensuring sufficient volume.

5.3 Noise Reduction

The WM650 offers two levels of noise reduction to suit different environments:

  • Low Noise Cancelling (-20dB): Suitable for environments with moderate background noise.
  • High Noise Cancelling (-25dB): Ideal for noisy environments to isolate your voice more effectively.

Activate and switch between noise reduction modes using the dedicated button on the transmitter.

8.1 No Sound/Low Volume

  • Ensure the receiver is securely plugged into your phone.
  • Check if the transmitter and receiver are paired (indicator lights should be solid).
  • Adjust the 4-step mic gain on the transmitter to an appropriate level.
  • Verify that the microphone is not muted (check the mute button).
  • Check your phone's audio input settings to ensure the external microphone is selected.

8.2 Poor Audio Quality/Interference

  • Ensure you are within the 328ft (100m) line-of-sight range. Obstacles can reduce range.
  • Activate the appropriate noise reduction level for your environment.
