Hot-Swap Switches

The VALKYRIE VK75 features hot-swappable switches, allowing you to easily change mechanical switches without soldering. This enables customization of typing feel and sound.

  1. Removal: Use a switch puller tool (if included) to gently grip the switch and pull it straight up from the PCB.
  2. Installation: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Gently push the switch down until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are straight to avoid bending or damaging them.

Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life and performance of your VALKYRIE VK75 keyboard.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard surface. For deeper cleaning, gently remove keycaps using a keycap puller and use compressed air to clear dust and debris from beneath. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the keycaps or finish.
  • Battery Care: For models equipped with an 8000mAh battery, ensure regular charging to maintain optimal battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently and store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the keyboard in a clean, dry environment.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your keyboard, try these common solutions:

  • Keyboard not responding:
    - Check the USB cable connection. Ensure it is securely plugged into both the keyboard and your computer.
    - If using 2.4G wireless, ensure the USB receiver is properly inserted and the keyboard is switched to 2.4G mode.
    - If using Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is charged, in Bluetooth mode, and correctly paired with your device. Try re-pairing if necessary.
  • Backlight not working or incorrect:
    - Ensure the keyboard is powered on.
    - Use the designated Fn key combinations to adjust brightness or cycle through lighting effects.
  • Specific keys not registering:
    - If you have hot-swapped switches, ensure the switch is fully seated and its pins are not bent.
    - Remove the keycap and switch, then re-insert them carefully.
  • Intermittent connectivity issues:
    - For 2.4G wireless, try plugging the USB receiver into a different USB port, preferably one on the front of your computer or away from other wireless devices that might cause interference.
    - For Bluetooth, ensure the keyboard is within optimal range of your device and there are no major obstructions.
