2.1 Controls and Indicators

  • LOOPER VOL Knob: Adjusts the playback volume of the recorded loop.

2.2 Input/Output Ports

  • IN (1/4" Mono Audio Input): Connect your instrument (e.g., guitar) here.
  • USB Type-C Port: For 5V power supply and data connection to a computer (WAV import/export).
  • Headphone Output: Connect headphones for silent practice.
  • DC 9V Input: Connect a 9V DC power adapter (outside positive, inside negative).
  • OUT (1/4" Mono Audio Output): Connect to your amplifier or other effects pedals.

3. Setup

  1. Power Connection: Connect a DC 9V power adapter (center negative) to the DC 9V input, or connect a USB Type-C cable to the USB port and a 5V power source.
  2. Instrument Connection: Connect your instrument to the 'IN' jack using a 1/4" mono audio cable.
  3. Output Connection: Connect the 'OUT' jack to your amplifier or audio interface using a 1/4" mono audio cable.
  4. Headphones (Optional): For private practice, connect headphones to the dedicated headphone output.
  5. Power On: The device will power on automatically once connected to a power source.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Looper Functions

The looper allows for recording, playback, and overdubbing of audio phrases.

  • Record: Click the LOOPER footswitch once to start recording. The LED will indicate recording status.
  • Play: After recording, click the LOOPER footswitch again to stop recording and start playback.
  • Overdub: During playback, click the LOOPER footswitch to enter overdub mode and record additional layers.
  • Stop: Double-click the LOOPER footswitch to stop playback or recording.
  • Undo/Redo: Hold the LOOPER footswitch to undo the last recorded layer. Hold again to redo.
  • Delete Loop: To clear the current loop, hold the LOOPER footswitch for an extended period (as indicated on the bottom panel).

4.2 Drum Machine Functions

The Lost Tempo V2 includes 30 built-in drum patterns.

  • Select Drum Pattern: Use the Left/Right navigation buttons to cycle through the 30 drum patterns. The display will show the current drum number.
  • Play/Stop Drum: Click the DRUM footswitch to start or stop the selected drum pattern.
  • Stop All Drums: Double-click the DRUM footswitch to stop all drum patterns.
  • TAP Edit / SYNC: Click the right center button (below display) to adjust tapping speed or synchronize the drum machine.
  • Cancel Drum SYNC: Hold the right center button (below display) to cancel drum synchronization.

4.3 Tuner Function

  • Activate Tuner: Hold the left center button (below display) to enter tuner mode. The display will show tuning information.
  • Exit Tuner: Click the left center button again or any footswitch to exit tuner mode.

4.4 WAV Import and Export

The USB Type-C port allows for data connection to a computer for WAV file management.

  • Connect the pedal to your computer using a USB Type-C cable.
  • The pedal should appear as a removable storage device.
  • You can import WAV files to load custom loops or export recorded loops for editing or backup.

  • Looper Not Recording/Playing:
    • Ensure the LOOPER footswitch is being pressed correctly (single click to record/play, double click to stop).
    • Check if the loop memory is full (total recording time is 11 minutes).
  • Drum Machine Not Playing:
    • Ensure a drum pattern is selected using the navigation buttons.
    • Click the DRUM footswitch to start playback.
