2.3 Initial Connection to Vehicle

To begin diagnostics, connect the VT600e scanner to your vehicle:

  1. Locate your vehicle's OBDII port, usually found under the dashboard on the driver's side.
  2. Connect the 16 Pin OBDII Connector to the diagnostic cable.
  3. Plug the diagnostic cable into the Diagnostic Connector port on the VT600e scanner.
  4. Connect the 16 Pin OBDII Connector to your vehicle's OBDII port.
  5. Turn the vehicle's ignition to the 'ON' position (engine can be off or running, depending on the test).
  6. The scanner will power on automatically and display the main menu.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Main Menu Navigation

Use the Selection Keys (arrows) to highlight desired options and the OK key to confirm. The ESC key will take you back to the previous screen.

3.2 4-System Diagnostics

The VT600e supports in-depth diagnostics for the following critical vehicle systems:

  • Engine System: Detects issues related to ignition, fuel injection, air/fuel ratio, and exhaust emissions.

3.5 Live Data Stream and Reporting

The VT600e allows you to view live vehicle sensor data. You can display two parameter graphs simultaneously and merge them for comparative analysis, providing a comprehensive view of live data.

Diagnostic reports can be generated with a single click and printed via a PC connection. This allows for easy sharing of vehicle health information.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Software Update

The VT600e offers lifetime free software updates to ensure compatibility with new vehicle models and diagnostic functions. Follow these steps to update your device:

  1. Connect the USB cable from the scanner to your computer/laptop.
  2. Remove the memory card from your VT600e device.
  3. Insert the memory card into the provided card reader, then plug the card reader into your computer/laptop.

  5. On the update software, select the serial number of your machine.
  6. Click the download button to download the latest software.
  7. After installation, all function files will appear. Click "Update All" to complete the process.
