For detailed customization of key sensitivity, lighting, macro functions, and other parameters, use the Black Shark Exclusive Drive software (available for download from the official Black Shark website).
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the keyboard surface.
- For dust and debris between keycaps, use compressed air.
- The PBT keycaps are non-oiling; avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the material or legends.
- Use the provided transparent keyboard cover when not in use to prevent dust accumulation.
Keycap and Switch Replacement (Hot-Swap)
The Black Shark Bkb02 features hot-swappable switches, but it only supports Tesla Inductive switches. Do not attempt to install other types of switches as this may damage the keyboard.
- To remove a keycap, use the provided keycap puller. Gently pull upwards until the keycap detaches.
- To remove a switch, use the provided shaft key puller. Carefully grip the switch and pull it straight up.
- To install a new Tesla Inductive switch, align the pins with the holes on the PCB and press down firmly until it clicks into place.
- To install a new keycap, align it with the switch stem and press down gently.

Battery Care
- Avoid exposing the keyboard to extreme temperatures.
- If storing for a long period, charge the battery to about 50% to prolong its lifespan.
- Use the original USB-C cable for charging.
Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Responding
- Check Connection: Ensure the keyboard is properly connected in Wired, 2.4G, or Bluetooth mode. Verify the mode switch is in the correct position.
- Battery Level: If in wireless mode, check if the battery is charged. Connect the USB-C cable to charge.
- 2.4G Receiver: For 2.4G mode, ensure the receiver is securely plugged into a USB port and the keyboard is switched to 2.4G mode.
- Bluetooth Pairing: For Bluetooth mode, ensure the keyboard is paired correctly with your device. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Reset Keyboard: Long press FN + Esc for 5 seconds to reset the keyboard.
RGB Lighting Issues
- Toggle Light: Press FN + Enter to ensure the lighting is not turned off.
- Brightness: Adjust brightness using FN + ↑ (Up Arrow) or FN + ↓ (Down Arrow).

"Tesla" Inductance Axis vs. Magnetic Axis Comparison

| Feature | "Tesla" Inductor Shaft | Magnetic Shaft |
|---|---|---|
| Induction mode | Bidirectional active | One-way passive |
| With or without dead zones | None | None |
| Temperature drift effect | No interference | Interfered |
| Magnetic disturbance | No interference | Interfered |
| Overflow/demagnetization phenomenon | None | There are |
| Scheme power consumption | Low | High |
| Requires frequent manual calibration | No need | Need |
| The same type of shaft hot plug versatility | Strong | Weak |
| Principle | The inductor shaft adopts a bidirectional active mode and the board adopts a chip coil mode. The chip connection coil intelligently transmits and captures the inductive signal and accurately analyzes the signal difference to calculate the displacement change. It can intelligently respond to environmental changes, automatically adjust signal parameters, and continuously maintain top measurement accuracy. | The magnetic shaft adopts one-way sensing mode. The Hall element can only respond to magnetic flux changes and output signals, but does not have the function of intelligent adaptation according to environmental changes. It limits its adaptability and accuracy stability in complex environments. |
| Advantages and disadvantages | The inductor shaft achieves high-precision displacement measurement with a highly integrated chip, a unique aluminum core design to ensure hot-plug accuracy, and a self-calibration mechanism to cope with environmental changes and dimensional tolerances. However, the relatively high cost and technical complexity have certain requirements for its technical innovation capabilities, relatively low power consumption. | The magnetic axis can be matched with different types of Hall devices, providing designers with flexibility to adapt to various application scenarios and performance requirements. However, the magnetic axis control is complex, the induction characteristics between devices are different and sensitive to temperature, and there is temperature drift. The power consumption is relatively large. |
