5. Setup

Before operating the machine, ensure it is placed on a stable, level surface in a well-ventilated area. Connect all components as illustrated in Figure 4.

  1. Power Connection: Connect the machine to a suitable power supply (AC 380V 50/60Hz for the 3000W model) using the provided power cable. Ensure the air switch is in the OFF position during connection.
  2. Water Chiller Setup: Fill the water chiller with distilled or deionized water. If operating in temperatures below 0°C, add appropriate antifreeze. Connect the cooling tubes between the laser source and the water chiller, and between the laser source and the handheld welding gun.
  3. Fiber Optic Connection: Carefully connect the optical fiber tube from the laser source to the handheld welding gun.
  4. Wire Feeder Connection: Connect the wire feeder machine to the main unit and load the appropriate welding wire (e.g., ER304 Steel Welding Wire, if applicable).
  5. Grounding: Attach the safe ground wire clamp to the workpiece or a reliable ground point.
  6. Safety Gear: Always wear the OD7 protective mask, protective gloves, and OD7 protective glasses before powering on the machine.
