Setup Instructions

To ensure proper functionality and safety, please follow these steps carefully:

  1. **Prepare Components:** To operate the LED strip, you must have a compatible LED Controller and a suitable LED Power Supply. These are sold separately.
  2. **Voltage Matching:** Ensure the voltage of your LED Power Supply matches the required voltage of the LED strip. For this DC24V LED strip, a 24V LED Power Supply is required. Using an incorrect voltage can damage the strip.
  3. **Connect LED Strip to Controller:** Connect the LED strip to the LED Controller. Pay close attention to the data input and power connections.

  6. **Cutting the Strip:** The LED strip can be cut along the designated cutting lines. Ensure to cut only at these marked points to avoid damaging the circuit. The remaining part of the LED strip can still function normally.

Operating Instructions

Once properly installed and connected, the LED strip can be operated via its compatible controller. The WS2811 IC allows for individual addressability, enabling a wide range of dynamic lighting effects.

  • **Power On/Off:** Use the controller to turn the LED strip on or off.
  • **Color and Brightness Adjustment:** Adjust colors, brightness, and color temperature (RGB+CCT) using the controller.

Maintenance

  • **Cleaning:** Gently wipe the LED strip with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • **Inspection:** Periodically inspect the strip for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear.
  • **Avoid Moisture:** As the strip is not waterproof, ensure it is kept away from moisture and liquids.
  • **Temperature Control:** Operate and store the strip within the specified temperature ranges to prolong its lifespan.

Troubleshooting

LED strip does not light up:
  • Check if the power supply is correctly connected and providing the correct DC24V output.
  • Ensure the LED controller is properly connected to both the power supply and the LED strip.
  • Verify that the data input and power wires are connected to the correct terminals on the strip and controller.
  • Confirm that the controller is powered on and sending signals.
Incorrect colors or flickering:
  • Check the data connection between the controller and the LED strip. A loose connection can cause erratic behavior.
  • Ensure the controller's settings match the WS2811 IC type and the number of LEDs/ICs.
  • Insufficient power supply can cause flickering or incorrect colors, especially over longer runs. Consider adding voltage injection points or a more powerful supply.
Part of the strip is not working:
  • If a segment of the strip is not lighting up, it might be due to a cut made outside the designated cutting lines or physical damage.
  • Check for any visible damage to the FPCB (Flexible Printed Circuit Board) or individual LEDs.
  • Remember that every 0.5 meter may have solder joints, which is normal and not a quality problem.

User Tips

  • For longer installations, consider using power injection at multiple points along the strip to maintain consistent brightness and color accuracy.
  • Experiment with different controllers to unlock the full potential of the addressable RGB+CCT features.
  • Plan your installation carefully, measuring and cutting the strip to the desired lengths before final adhesion.
  • Always test the LED strip and controller setup before permanently mounting to ensure all components are working as expected.
