5. Setup
5.1. Charging the Vehicle Battery
- Connect the provided charger to a suitable power source.
- Connect the 7.4V 350mAh-3P2S lithium battery to the charger.
- Allow the battery to charge fully. Refer to the charger's indicator lights for charging status.
- Once charged, disconnect the battery from the charger.
5.2. Installing the Vehicle Battery
- Carefully remove the car shell. (Refer to section 5.3 for car shell removal).
- Locate the battery compartment within the chassis. The compartment size is 55x30mm.
- Insert the charged 7.4V lithium battery into the compartment.
- Connect the battery to the vehicle's power connector.
- Replace the car shell.
5.3. Quick Dismantling of Car Shell
The car shell features a quick-dismantling design for easy access to internal components.

To remove the car shell:
- Turn the vehicle upside down.
- Locate the quick-disconnect parts on both sides of the chassis, connected to the bottom of the car shell in the middle.
- Simultaneously press and hold these quick-disconnect parts inwards.
- While holding, gently pull the underbody upwards to detach the car shell.
To reattach the car shell, align it with the chassis and press down until the quick-disconnect parts click into place.
5.4. Remote Controller Setup
The remote controller operates on a 2.4GHz frequency with 4 channels.

Ensure the remote controller has fresh batteries installed (not included for the remote, typically AA batteries). Turn on the remote controller before turning on the vehicle.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Basic Controls
Familiarize yourself with the remote controller's functions:
- Steering Wheel: Controls left and right steering.
- Forward/Backward Trigger: Controls acceleration (pull) and reverse/brake (push).
- Power Switch: Turns the remote controller ON/OFF.
- Light Switch: Controls the vehicle's lights.
- Gear Shift: Switches between high and low speed modes.
- Front/Rear Steering Mid Trim: Adjusts the neutral position of the front/rear steering.
- Throttle Counter: Adjusts the neutral position of the throttle.
- Mode Switching: Changes between different steering modes (see 6.2).
- Cruise Control Knob: For maintaining a set speed.
6.2. Driving Modes
The UCX2402 features upgradable four-wheel steering with four switchable modes:

- Forward and Backward in the Same Direction: All four wheels steer in the same direction.
- Forward and Backward in Opposite Direction: Front and rear wheels steer in opposite directions for tighter turns.
- Front Wheel Steering: Standard steering, only front wheels turn (factory default).
- Rear Wheel Steering: Only rear wheels turn.
Use the 'Mode switching' button on the remote controller to cycle through these modes. The rear steering neutral fine-tuning and mode switching are reserved for upgrading the four-wheel steering. Only the M1 front wheel steering can be used initially.
6.3. Speed Modes
The vehicle is equipped with a three-speed mechanical shift gearbox, allowing for both low-speed climbing and high-speed operation.

- Low Speed Mode: Ideal for challenging terrains and climbing, providing high torque and precise control.
- High Speed Mode: Suitable for faster driving on flatter surfaces, offering an exhilarating experience.
Use the 'Gear shift' button on the remote controller to switch between these modes.
6.4. Lighting Functions
The vehicle comes with factory standard headlights. The system is reserved for upgrading front and rear turn signals, reversing lights, tail lights, and fog lights.

To upgrade lights, ensure you recognize the correct P number for SH1.25 plug-in heads (2P/3P/4P) as they have different positions.

7.1. General Care
- Clean the vehicle after each use, especially after off-road driving, to remove dirt and debris.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no water enters electronic components.
