1. Introduction

The VONTAR QTV Q1 is a compact and powerful Android TV Box designed to transform your television into a smart entertainment hub. Featuring an Allwinner H313 Quad Core processor and Android 10, it supports 4K@60fps video decoding, H.265, and HDR10 for a superior viewing experience. With 2.4G WiFi and multi-screen interaction capabilities, it offers seamless connectivity and versatile media sharing.

2. Package Contents

Before you begin, please check the contents of your package:

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Connecting the TV Box

  1. Connect to TV:

    • For high-definition TVs, connect the provided HD Cable (HDMI) from the QTV Q1's HD output port to an available HDMI input on your TV.
    • For traditional TVs, connect an AV cable (not included) from the QTV Q1's AV output port to the corresponding AV input on your TV.

  2. Connect Power: Plug the power cable into the DC 5V port on the QTV Q1 and then into a power outlet.

  3. Connect USB Devices (Optional): You can connect USB storage devices (U disk, USB HDD) to the USB 2.0 port for media playback.

3.2 Initial Power On

  1. Ensure all cables are securely connected.
  2. Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI or AV input source.
  3. The QTV Q1 will automatically power on when connected to power. The power indicator will be blue.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup, including language selection and network configuration.

3.3 Network Connection

The QTV Q1 supports 2.4G WiFi for internet connectivity.

  1. From the Android home screen, navigate to 'Settings'.
  2. Select 'Network & Internet'.
  3. Turn on Wi-Fi and select your desired network from the list.
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted and connect.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Remote Control

The QTV Q1 comes with a remote control for easy navigation. Please note that there might be two types of remote controls, both genuine VONTAR products, and the one you receive depends on stock availability.

Familiarize yourself with the buttons for media playback, volume control, navigation, and app access.

4.2 Android 10 Interface

The device runs on Android 10, providing a user-friendly interface. You can access various applications, settings, and media content directly from the home screen.

4.3 Multi-screen Interaction

The QTV Q1 supports multi-screen interaction technologies such as Airplay, DLNA, and Miracast, allowing you to cast pictures and videos from your phone or other devices to your TV screen.

4.4 4K Video Playback

The device supports video decoding up to 4K@60fps, ensuring crisp and clear visuals for compatible content. It also supports various multi-formats for video and picture decoding.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the device, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols, as they may damage the device.

5.2 Software Updates (OTA)

The QTV Q1 supports Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates. It is recommended to keep your device's software up to date to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features and security patches.

  1. Navigate to 'Settings' on the home screen.
  2. Select 'About' or 'Device Preferences'.
  3. Look for 'System update' or 'OTA Update' and follow the on-screen prompts to check for and install any available updates.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the device and the power outlet. Check if the power adapter is working.
  • No Signal on TV: Verify that the HD Cable (HDMI) or AV cable is correctly connected to both the TV Box and the TV. Ensure your TV is set to the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, AV).
  • Wi-Fi Connection Issues: Check your router and ensure it is working correctly. Re-enter the Wi-Fi password if necessary. Try restarting both the TV Box and your router.
  • Remote Control Not Responding: Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if needed. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV Box.
  • Apps Not Working/Freezing: Try restarting the TV Box. Clear the cache of the problematic app via 'Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Clear cache'.
