7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the transmitter and receiver clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the devices in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove the 18650 battery from the transmitter if storing for extended periods.
  • Battery Care: Ensure proper charging and storage of the 18650 battery. Do not overcharge or deep discharge.
  • Rocker Assembly: The CT-8B features a durable rocker assembly with ball bearings. Avoid excessive force or impact to maintain its precision.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the 18650 battery is correctly inserted and charged. Long press the power button to turn on the transmitter.
  • No Signal/Loss of Control: Verify that the transmitter and receiver are properly bound. Check the signal strength indicator on the transmitter. Ensure the receiver is powered correctly. The system includes a loss of control protection function which may activate if signal is lost.
  • Erratic Behavior: Check all wiring connections to the receiver. Ensure no interference from other 2.4Ghz devices. Recalibrate the transmitter if necessary through the system settings.
  • Automatic Shutdown: The transmitter will automatically shut down after 15 minutes of inactivity. This is a power-saving feature, not a malfunction.
  • Gyroscope Issues: If using a gyroscope-equipped receiver, ensure it is not being used with an aircraft model, as this function is not supported for aircraft.

9. User Tips

  • Compatibility: Always verify the compatibility of your chosen receiver with your specific RC model (car, boat, or tank) and its components (servos, ESCs, lights).
  • Environmental Factors: The effective remote control distance can be influenced by environmental factors such as obstacles, electromagnetic interference, and weather conditions. Always operate your model in an open area.
  • Firmware Updates: The CT-8B transmitter supports upgrade features. Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to improve performance or add new features.
