4. Operating Instructions
APP Connection and Activation
The MINIEYE app supports both iOS and Android (Android 5.0/iOS 10 and above).
- While the device is on, open the MINIEYE app and navigate to the "Device" page. Click the "+" button to add your device.
- In the Wi-Fi list on your phone, select the Wi-Fi network named "MINIEYE-Device ID" (the Device ID can be found at the bottom of the package). The default password is
12345678. - If your Android phone prompts you to continue using the wireless network, select "Continue".
- After connecting, the device will request user authorization for APP-to-Device communication security. Click the button on the top of the monitor or enter the voice verification code.
Activating Anti-Collision Functions (ADAS)
The ADAS features require activation and calibration for optimal performance.
- Car Model Selection: The width of different car models affects the AI anti-collision algorithm's prediction. Select your car type in the app (optimize through "anti-collision setting" for more accuracy).
- Camera Position Calibration: The horizontal distance between the camera and the central axis of the windshield determines the accuracy of the AI algorithm. Use the scale line in the app for measurement.
- Real-time Adjustment: The app provides a real-time image for adjustment preview. Confirm settings according to guidelines; anti-collision functions activate upon completion.
- Data Collection for Accuracy: After activation, drive for 3-5 minutes on a horizontal road with clear lane lines on both sides, maintaining a speed over 30km/h and without changing lanes. This allows the system to collect data for accurate adjustment.
Important Note: Objects with strong reflection or bright light (e.g., paper towels, decorations) on the dashboard may interfere with the algorithm. Please avoid placing such items.
Anti-Collision Functions Setting
Access "Device" Page > "Anti-Collision Settings" in the app to configure various parameters.
- Forward Collision Warning / Headway Monitoring Warning / Urban Forward Collision Warning: Ensures a safe distance from the front car in all scenarios.
- Stop & Go: Reminds you to start when the front car moves in congested traffic.
- Emergent Collision Warning: Automatically starts recording when a collision is detected.
Warm Tip: For a more accurate and safe driving experience, improve vehicle model data, reset installation distance parameters, or re-adjust the image if camera offset is too large.
Voice Command
Control the dash cam using quick voice commands, such as "Take a picture" or "Turn off the recording."
Video Preview / Playback / Share
After setting up anti-collision functions, the app's "Device" home page allows you to:
- Preview the current real-time image.
- Playback video recorded in the previous 2 hours.
- Access the photo album to view all driving record videos.
Warm Tip: Files saved on the device can be viewed, downloaded, and shared through the "Device" > "Device Album" section of the app.
Note: If functions do not match instructions, it may be due to a version upgrade. The actual version prevails.

8. Safety Notices and Cautions
Before using the MINIEYE Intelligent Multi-Function Warning Device, please read the following safety notice carefully and take appropriate safety precautions. By installing this device, you acknowledge and agree to use this product in accordance with these instructions.
- ADAS Limitations: The MINIEYE device is an advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) that provides warnings but is not an automatic driving system. It cannot replace drivers' control over the car. Drivers must always remain attentive, obey traffic rules, and ensure driving safety.
- Computer Vision Limitations: While using leading computer vision and deep-learning technology, complete and accurate identification of all vehicles, pedestrians, lane lines, or other traffic elements cannot be guaranteed. It may not always provide complete visual or sound warnings.
- External Factors: Stains, oil, water, dust, or fingerprints on the windshield or camera surface may cause anti-collision functions to fail. Keep surfaces clean and dry.
- Dashboard Reflections: Self-luminous, strongly reflective, or high-brightness objects (e.g., white paper, plastic bags, metal/ceramic/glass products) placed on the dashboard may reflect images on the windshield, interfering with camera vision and ADAS functions.
- Environmental Conditions: Bad weather (rain, snow, fog, haze, dust, typhoon, tornado, extreme cold/hot) or bad lighting (backlighting, tunnels, culverts, forests, strong light like high beam, spotlight, laser, flame, explosion) can cause anti-collision functions to fail.
- Road Conditions: Poor road conditions, including non-standard or severely worn lane markings, and lane signs covered by foreign objects or stagnant water, may affect the intelligent adjustment and lane departure warning.
- Vehicle/Object Identification: Some special types of vehicles (military, ancient, exotic, special engineering vehicles, trailers with special shaped items) or objects (balloons, drones, flying toys, balls, sporting goods, high-altitude parabolic/floating garbage) may not be accurately identified.
- Human Factors: People with special postures or clothing (low-visibility clothing, squatting/kneeling/lying down, performing sports movements, riding horses, or special transportation) may not be accurately identified.
- FCC Compliance: This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to not causing harmful interference and accepting any interference received. Any modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party could void user authority to operate the equipment.
- Interference: If the equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, try reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, or connecting to a different circuit.
- Legal Use: Please use this product within the scope permitted by law.
9. User Tips
- ADAS Warning Issues: If ADAS warnings are not working, ensure the feature is activated and calibrated correctly in the MINIEYE app settings. Check for any dashboard reflections or environmental factors that might interfere.
- Voice Commands: Yes, the device supports voice commands for functions like taking pictures or turning off recording.
- Included Accessories: The dashcam package includes the main unit, rear camera, rear camera cable, power cable, crowbar, and electrostatic sticker.
- Parking Monitoring: Remember that a separate MINIEYE Hardwire Kit is required for the parking monitoring feature to function.
