Wiring Connections

Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connection. The unit uses an ISO standard plug for power and speaker wires. Ensure correct polarity to prevent damage.

Wiring Protection

This unit features automatic power-off protection if the power cord is reversed. This prevents burning of the main board or fuse. However, always double-check your wiring before powering on the device.

Model Differences (JSD 520L vs. JSD 530L)

Please note the differences between the 520L and 530L models:

  • JSD 530L: Includes an additional USB port for charging.
  • JSD 520L: Does not have the additional USB charging port. It features two removal holes on the side for installation/removal.

Operating Instructions

Front Panel Overview

Familiarize yourself with the buttons and ports on the front panel:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through available modes (FM, AUX, USB, BT). Also used to end calls.
  • Band Button: Switches between FM bands (FM1, FM2, FM3). Also used to answer calls.
  • Volume Knob (VOL): Adjusts the volume.
  • EQ/LOUD Button: Activates equalizer presets or loudness function.
  • AMS Button: Auto search and store stations.
  • Prev/Next Track Buttons: Skips tracks or tunes radio frequencies.
  • USB Read Port (Black): For connecting USB storage devices.
  • USB Charging Port (Orange, 530L only): For charging mobile devices.
  • TF Card Slot: For inserting TF (MicroSD) cards.
  • AUX Input (3.5mm Jack): For connecting external audio sources.
  • CLK Button: Displays the clock. Long press with VOL button to adjust time.
  • Reset Button: Resets the unit to factory settings (use a thin object to press).

Basic Operation

  1. Power On/Off: Press the Power button.
  2. Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Volume knob.
  3. Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to switch between FM, AUX, USB, and Bluetooth modes.
  4. Clock Display and Setting: The clock is always displayed. To adjust the time, long-press the CLK button, then use the VOL knob to set the hours and minutes.

FM Radio

In FM mode, you can:

  • Change Bands: Press the BAND button to cycle through FM1, FM2, FM3.
  • Auto Search: Long-press the AMS button to automatically search and store stations.
  • Manual Tuning: Use the Prev/Next track buttons for fine-tuning.

The frequency range is FM 87.5~108.0MHz, and a total of 18 stations can be stored across the three bands.

Bluetooth Connection

To connect your phone via Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure the car MP3 player is in Bluetooth mode (display shows "BT").
  2. On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "SWL-BT" (default name).
  3. Once paired, you can make/receive hands-free calls and stream audio.

USB/TF Card Playback

Insert a USB drive into the USB Read port or a TF card into the TF card slot. The player will automatically switch to USB/TF mode and begin playback. It supports lossless audio formats like FLAC, APE, WAV, as well as MP3 and WMA.

AUX Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) to the 3.5mm AUX input jack on the front panel using an AUX cable (purchased separately). Switch the player to AUX mode to listen to audio from your connected device.

Remote Control

The included remote control allows for convenient operation of the player. Insert 2x AAA batteries (not included) into the remote before use.
