5. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended for car stereo systems. Ensure the vehicle's power is disconnected before beginning installation.

5.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper connections. Each cable is labeled for easy identification.

  1. Power Cable: Connect the main power harness to your vehicle's power supply (ACC, B+, GND).
  2. RCA Cable: Connect for audio output (e.g., to external amplifiers) and video input/output.
  3. USB Cable: Connect the provided USB cables for external storage, smartphone connection, or charging.
  4. Rear Camera Input Cable: Connect your optional rear view camera to this input. Ensure the reverse trigger wire is connected to the vehicle's reverse light circuit.
  5. GPS Antenna: Mount the GPS antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield, to ensure optimal signal reception.
  6. Microphone (Optional): Connect the external microphone for improved call quality.

5.2 Initial Power On

After all connections are secure, reconnect the vehicle's power. The unit should power on automatically or by pressing the power button. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup, including language selection and time zone.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Home Screen and Navigation

The home screen provides access to all main functions. Swipe left or right to navigate between screens or use the app drawer to find specific applications.

6.2 Carplay & Android Auto

To use Carplay or Android Auto:

  1. Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
  2. On the car stereo, select the Carplay or Android Auto icon.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your phone wirelessly or connect via a USB cable.
  4. Once connected, your phone's compatible apps will appear on the stereo display.

6.3 GPS Navigation

Access the navigation app from the home screen. You can use built-in offline maps or connect to Wi-Fi to use online mapping services like Google Maps. Enter your destination and follow the voice-guided directions.

6.4 Bluetooth Function

To pair your phone via Bluetooth:

  1. Go to the 'BT Call' or 'Bluetooth' app on the stereo.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for available devices.

6.5 FM/RDS Radio

6.6 Wi-Fi Connection

To connect to Wi-Fi:

  1. Go to 'Settings' and select 'Wi-Fi'.

6.7 Split Screen

To activate split screen mode, open an application, then long-press the recent apps button or drag an app to one side of the screen if supported by the Android version. Select another app to fill the other half.

6.8 Steering Wheel Control

To configure steering wheel controls:

  1. Go to 'Settings' and find 'Steering Wheel Key' or 'SWC'.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to map your vehicle's steering wheel buttons to the desired functions on the stereo.

6.9 EQ (Equalizer) Settings

6.10 Mirror Link

For Mirror Link, connect your phone via USB or Wi-Fi. On the stereo, select the Mirror Link app. For iPhones, it supports wireless mirror link. For Android, it supports wireless mobile phone mirror link. Follow the prompts on both devices to establish the connection.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8. Troubleshooting
