5. Setup
5.1. Installation
The relay switch module is designed for DIN rail installation, ensuring a firm, stable, and convenient setup. Simply clip the module onto a standard 35mm DIN rail.

5.2. Wiring Diagrams
Proper wiring is crucial for safe and correct operation. Refer to the following diagrams for your specific module and voltage requirements.
5.2.1. 6-Channel Module Wiring (AC 100-250V)

5.2.2. 6-Channel Module Wiring (12V DC)

5.2.3. 16-Channel Module Wiring (Hotel Room Example)

5.3. App Pairing
To pair your module with the app:
- Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app from your mobile app store (iOS or Android).
- Ensure your Tuya Zigbee Gateway is powered on and connected to the app.
- Open the app and follow the instructions to add a new device. Select the Zigbee switch module.
- The module's indicator light will flash when it's in network distribution state.
- Once detected, complete the pairing process in the app.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Panel and Interface Description (16-Channel Module)

Panel Section:
- Reset Button: When flashing, the device enters the distribution network state.
- Indicator Lights (1-16): Always on when open, off when closed.
- Key Buttons (1-16): Press to control the on/off state of the corresponding relay.
Interface Section (Part 1):
- Neutral Wire and Live Wire (100-250V): Power input.
- L1-L16 Relays: AC 250V/16A outputs.
- DC 24V/6A and IN: Input terminals.
- RS485: For RS485 switch connection.
- Motor Control: When used as motor control, L11-L16 are 1-way motor control.
Interface Section (Part 2):
- RJ45: Not supported in this version.
- COM Interface: Common terminal.
- K1-K16: External input buttons.
- Dry Contact Control: K1-K8 is a group, K9-K16 is a group. K1-K16 interface and COM interface are short circuited, and corresponding channels can be controlled.
Note on Dry Contact States:
- When set to the reset switch, only short circuiting is effective.
- When set to the rocker switch, both short circuiting and disconnection are effective.
- When set to a weak current switch, short circuiting indicates an open action, and disconnection indicates a closed action.
6.2. App Control
The Smart Life / Tuya Smart app provides comprehensive control over your relay module.

- Remote ON/OFF: Tap the switch icon in the app to turn connected devices on or off.
- Working Modes: Configure the relay working mode (inching, self-locking, interlock) within the app settings.
- Inching Function: Press the relay in the app to turn it on, and it will automatically cut off after a set time. The inching time can be configured in the app.
- Self-locking: Press to turn on, press again to turn off.
- Interlock: When one relay is turned on, all other relays in the same group are automatically turned off.
- Timing: Set countdown timers, single schedules, or repeating schedules to automate device operation.
- Power-on State Setting: Configure the module's state after a power outage (e.g., power off, electrify, power off memory).
- Scene Linkage: Create custom scenes to trigger multiple devices simultaneously based on conditions or manual activation.
- Share Control: Invite family members to control the devices through the app.
6.3. Voice Control
Integrate your relay module with Amazon Alexa or Google Home/Nest for convenient voice control.
- Ensure your module is successfully paired with the Smart Life / Tuya Smart app.
- Link your Smart Life / Tuya Smart account to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app.
- Discover devices in your voice assistant app.
- Use voice commands such as:
- "Alexa, turn on [device name]"
- "Hey Google, turn off [device name]"
7. Maintenance
- Regularly check wiring connections for any signs of wear or looseness.
- Keep the module clean and free from dust. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the module to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
- Ensure the firmware of the module and the app are updated to the latest versions for optimal performance and security.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device not responding: Check power supply to the module and the connected appliance. Ensure the Zigbee gateway is online and within range.
- Cannot pair with app: Verify that the module is in pairing mode (indicator light flashing). Ensure your Zigbee gateway is properly set up and connected to the internet. Try resetting the module (refer to panel description for reset button).
- Voice control not working: Confirm that the Smart Life/Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to your voice assistant (Alexa/Google Home). Ensure the device name in the app matches the name used in voice commands.
- Intermittent connection: Check the distance between the module and the Zigbee gateway. Obstructions can affect signal strength. Consider adding more Zigbee devices to strengthen the mesh network.
9. User Tips
- For motor control applications (e.g., curtains, garage doors), ensure the correct wiring and mode (e.g., interlock) are selected in the app to prevent damage.
- Utilize the timing functions to automate daily routines, such as turning on lights at sunset or opening curtains in the morning.
- Experiment with scene linkage to create complex automations, like a "Goodnight" scene that turns off all lights and closes blinds.
