6. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning the Probe: After each use, especially in dirty or oily environments, gently wipe the probe and camera lens with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn grime, use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the probe is dry before storage.
- Storage: Store the borescope and its accessories in the provided carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods (e.g., once every 3 months).
- Avoid Impact: Do not drop or subject the device to strong impacts, as this can damage internal components or the delicate probe.
- Water Resistance: While the probe tip is designed for certain environments, avoid submerging the main unit in liquids. Refer to specifications for probe water resistance ratings.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Image on Screen:
- Ensure the device is fully charged and powered on.
- Check if the probe cable is securely connected to the main unit.
- Adjust the LED brightness to ensure adequate lighting in the inspection area.
- Device Not Charging:
- Verify the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the device and the power source.
- Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
- Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris.
- Cannot Save Photos/Videos:
- Check if a MicroSD card is properly inserted.
- Ensure the MicroSD card is not full. Delete unnecessary files or replace the card.
- Format the MicroSD card (this will erase all data, so back up first).
- Probe Articulation Issues:
- Ensure the articulation mechanism is not obstructed.
- Avoid forcing the probe; if it feels stiff, gently try to maneuver it.
- Check for any visible damage to the probe cable or articulation joint.
- High-Temperature Alarm:
- If the alarm sounds, immediately remove the probe from the hot environment.
- Allow the probe to cool down completely before attempting further use.
