3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Wiring Diagram and Installation

The device supports various configurations (1P, 1P+N, 3P, 3P+N). Ensure correct pole connections as per your electrical system. The current transformer requires the wire to pass through its designated hole for accurate inductive measurement. The maximum wire entry for the current transformer is 10mm².

Wiring Connections:

  • 1P/1P+N Models (e.g., TOSA1-0150XJWT1A, TOSA1-0250XJWT1A): Connect the N-pole (Neutral) and L-pole (Live) wires.
  • 3P/3P+N Models (e.g., TOSA1-0350XJWT1A, TOSA1-0450XJWT1A): Connect L1, L2, L3 (Live phases) and N (Neutral) wires.

3.2. App Installation and Device Pairing

To utilize the smart features, download the Tuya or Smart Life app on your mobile device.

  1. Download App: Scan the QR code below or search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in your app store.

  3. Enter Pairing Mode: After installing the device and ensuring power is supplied, press and hold the 'Pairing Button' on the device for approximately 5 seconds until the blue indicator light starts flashing continuously.
  4. Add Device in App: Open the Tuya/Smart Life app. Tap the '+' icon to add a new device. The app may automatically detect the device, or you can select 'Add Device' manually.
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Follow the in-app instructions to connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
  6. Confirmation: Once successfully paired, the blue indicator light on the device will become solid, and the device will appear in your app's device list.

4. Operating Instructions

Once your TONGOU Smart Energy Monitor is successfully paired with the Tuya/Smart Life app, you can access a range of monitoring and control features.

4.1. Real-time Monitoring

The app provides real-time data on your electrical consumption:

  • Real-time Power (W)
  • Power Consumption (kWh)
  • Internal Temperature (°C/°F)

You can view daily, monthly, and yearly energy consumption statistics and export this data via email for detailed analysis.

4.2. Alarm Settings

Configure various alarm thresholds to receive timely notifications of abnormal conditions:

  • Current Setting: Set a maximum current threshold (e.g., 50A).
  • Overvoltage Setting: Define the upper voltage limit (e.g., 280V).
  • Undervoltage Setting: Define the lower voltage limit (e.g., 100V).
  • Overpower Setting: Set a maximum power threshold (e.g., 2000W).
  • Temperature Setting: Set a maximum internal temperature (e.g., 100°C).
  • Balance Alarm: Set a threshold for energy balance (e.g., 10 kWh).

When any set threshold is exceeded, the app will push notifications to your mobile device, ensuring you are immediately aware of potential issues.

4.3. Prepaid Function
