2. Setup Guide

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect the camera and accessories for any signs of damage. Keep the packaging for future reference or transport.

2.2 Physical Installation

The camera is designed for outdoor use and is IP66 waterproof. It can be installed on a wall or pole using the provided bracket and mounting screws. Ensure the installation location provides a clear field of view and is within range of your Wi-Fi network or allows for a wired connection.

  • Mount the bracket securely to a stable surface.
  • Attach the camera to the bracket.
  • Connect the power supply (DC 12V).
  • Use the included waterproof cap to protect cable connections from environmental elements.

2.3 Network Connection

The camera supports both 2.4G WIFI and RJ45 network port for internet access.

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Power on the camera. Open the iCSee app on your smartphone and follow the in-app instructions for Bluetooth quick network configuration.
  • Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the camera's RJ45 LAN port.

2.4 App and PC Client Installation

To manage and view your camera feed, download the iCSee app for Android or iOS, or the VMS client for PC.

  • Mobile App: Search for "iCSee" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and install.
  • PC Client: Download the VMS client from the official website (www.xmeye.net) for Windows or macOS.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Dual Lens and Dual Screen Monitoring

The camera features a unique dual-lens, dual-screen design. One lens provides a fixed panoramic view, while the other is a PTZ lens with optical zoom. The iCSee app displays two video screens simultaneously: the upper screen shows the PTZ camera feed, and the lower screen shows the fixed position camera feed. You can tap on an area in the fixed camera's view to direct the PTZ camera to that specific location.

3.2 Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Control

Control the camera's movement and zoom directly from the iCSee app or PC client:

  • Pan: Horizontal movement from 0° to 355°.
  • Tilt: Vertical movement from 0° to 90°.
  • Optical Zoom: Achieve 36X optical zoom for detailed viewing of distant objects. This allows for fast zoom in/out without lag.

3.3 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers three night vision modes to adapt to different lighting conditions:

  • Infrared Night Vision: Utilizes IR LEDs for clear black and white images in complete darkness.
  • Full Color Night Vision: Activates white LEDs to provide full-color images even at night.
  • Smart Dual Light Mode: Automatically switches between infrared and full-color night vision based on detected motion or events.

Effective night vision distance is 50-100 meters in dark environments, and day vision can extend up to 100-200 meters.

3.4 AI Human Detection and Alerts

The camera features intelligent human detection. When a human target is identified, the camera can trigger an alarm (sound and light) and send immediate notifications to your smartphone via the iCSee app. This helps in quickly identifying potential threats.

3.5 Two-Way Audio

  • TF Card Storage: Insert a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) into the designated slot for local backup and loop recording.

3.7 NVR Compatibility

5. Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Camera not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Try resetting the camera using the reset button (refer to Product Parameters diagram for location) and re-attempt Bluetooth quick network configuration via the iCSee app.
  • No image or poor image quality: Check power connection. Ensure the lens is clean and free from obstructions. Verify network connectivity.
  • No audio or poor audio quality: Check microphone and speaker settings in the app. Ensure there are no physical obstructions.
  • Human detection not working: Verify that human detection is enabled in the app settings. Ensure the camera's field of view is clear.
  • No auto-tracking: Please note that this camera model (G520X) does not support auto-tracking functionality.
  • SD card not recording: Ensure the SD card is correctly inserted and formatted within the app. Check if the card is full or corrupted.
