4.4 Customization
The scanner allows for customization of certain features:
- Sound and Vibration: The sound and vibration feedback can be turned off as needed. Refer to the full manual for specific programming barcodes.
- Prefix/Suffix Digits: You can hide or add custom prefix/suffix digits to scanned data. Refer to the full manual for specific programming barcodes.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, keep the scanner clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For the scanning window, use a lens cleaning cloth or a soft cloth lightly dampened with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the lens or housing.
5.2 Battery Care
To prolong battery life:
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
- Charge the scanner regularly, even if not in constant use.
- Store the scanner in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
6. Troubleshooting
- Scanner not connecting: Ensure the scanner is charged, within range, and the correct connection mode (Bluetooth, 2.4G, or USB) is selected. For 2.4G, ensure the dongle is properly inserted. For Bluetooth, ensure it's paired correctly.
- Scanner not scanning: Check if the scanner is powered on. Ensure the barcode is clean, well-lit, and within the scanner's focal range. Verify the barcode type is supported.
- Short battery life: Ensure the scanner is fully charged. Battery performance can degrade over time with extensive use.
- No sound/vibration: Check if the sound/vibration feature has been disabled via programming barcodes.
For more complex issues, refer to the comprehensive programming manual or contact customer support.
