5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Cecotec ProClean 5020 Mirror microwave.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the microwave oven from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Interior Cleaning (Ready2Clean Coating):
    • The Ready2Clean coating makes the interior easy to clean. Wipe the interior cavity after each use with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
    • For stubborn food splatters, place a bowl of water with lemon slices inside and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. The steam will loosen the residue, making it easier to wipe away.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or sharp objects, as these can damage the interior coating.
  3. Exterior Cleaning:
    • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
    • Clean the control panel gently with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture.
  4. Door and Door Seals:
    • Clean the door, door seals, and adjacent parts frequently with a damp cloth to remove any spills or splatters.
    • Ensure the door seals are clean and free from food debris to maintain proper sealing.
  5. Turntable and Ring:
    • The glass turntable and turntable ring can be removed for cleaning. Wash them in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher.
    • Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back in the microwave.
