7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your JIKONG Smart BMS, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power/No Display:
    • Check all power connections (B-line, P-line) to ensure they are secure and correctly polarized.
    • Verify that the battery pack has sufficient voltage.
    • Ensure the switch key is properly connected and activated.
  • Balancing Issues:
    • Confirm that all cell sampling lines are correctly connected to the BMS and to the individual battery cells.
    • Check the balance current settings in the mobile app or PC software.
    • Allow sufficient time for active balancing to occur, especially with large capacity battery packs.
  • Communication Problems (Bluetooth/RS485/CAN):
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the BMS is discoverable.
    • Verify correct wiring for RS485 or CAN communication.
    • Check for any error messages in the app or PC software.
  • Protection Triggered (Overcharge, Overdischarge, Overcurrent, Short Circuit):
    • Identify the specific protection that was triggered via the app or display.
    • Review your battery pack's specifications and compare them with the BMS protection parameters. Adjust parameters if necessary, but always within safe limits for your battery chemistry.
