4. Installation and Wiring
Proper installation and wiring are crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your JIKONG Smart BMS. Please follow these steps carefully.
General Installation Steps:
- Connect all necessary cables (sampling lines, NTC, switch key) to the BMS.
- Insert the main power cables (B-line and P-line) into the designated terminals on the BMS.
- Connect the B-line (battery negative) and P-line (load/charger negative) to your battery pack.

BMS Interface Overview:
The BMS features a rich set of interfaces to support various communication and control needs.

Wiring Diagrams:
Refer to the following diagrams for specific wiring configurations based on your battery string count.

Important: Always ensure correct polarity and secure connections to prevent damage to the BMS or battery pack. Incorrect wiring can lead to serious hazards.
5. Operation
The JIKONG Smart BMS can be monitored and configured via a mobile application, PC software, or a dedicated external display.
5.1 Multi-Screen Display and Data Connection
The "JIKONG SMART BMS" mobile phone Bluetooth APP provides a personal lithium battery steward, allowing you to view all kinds of information at a glance. The APP supports iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS systems and multiple languages, which can be switched automatically with your mobile phone system.

You can freely choose a mobile APP, computer upper computer, or home storage display according to your actual needs.
5.2 Parameter Adjustment and Interaction
The intelligent interaction feature allows you to freely adjust multiple protection values such as overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, temperature, and balance. If you need to adjust the parameters, please read the internal parameters of the protection board first, and then make changes.

5.3 Inverter Communication Protocol Setup
The BMS supports protocol docking with mainstream inverter communication protocols in the market. This can be easily set up through the mobile app or the host computer software.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the long-term performance and reliability of your JIKONG Smart BMS, consider the following maintenance guidelines:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of corrosion. Ensure that the sampling lines and main power cables are securely attached.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the BMS within its specified temperature and humidity ranges. Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or moisture.
- Cleaning: Keep the BMS unit clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Software Updates: Regularly check for and install any available firmware or software updates for the mobile app and PC software to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- Physical Protection: The BMS features a full aluminum alloy shell for excellent heat dissipation and protection against external environmental damage. Avoid physical impact or excessive force on the unit.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your JIKONG Smart BMS, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power/No Display:
- Check all power connections (B-line, P-line) to ensure they are secure and correctly polarized.
- Verify that the battery pack has sufficient voltage.
- Ensure the switch key is properly connected and activated.
- Balancing Issues:
- Confirm that all cell sampling lines are correctly connected to the BMS and to the individual battery cells.
- Check the balance current settings in the mobile app or PC software.
- Allow sufficient time for active balancing to occur, especially with large capacity battery packs.
- Communication Problems (Bluetooth/RS485/CAN):
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the BMS is discoverable.
- Verify correct wiring for RS485 or CAN communication.
- Check for any error messages in the app or PC software.
- Protection Triggered (Overcharge, Overdischarge, Overcurrent, Short Circuit):
- Identify the specific protection that was triggered via the app or display.
- Review your battery pack's specifications and compare them with the BMS protection parameters. Adjust parameters if necessary, but always within safe limits for your battery chemistry.
- Inspect the load and charging source for any faults that might cause overcurrent or short circuit conditions.
If the problem persists after performing these checks, please contact JIKONG customer support for further assistance.
