5. Setup
5.1 Pre-installation Checklist
- Your smartphone or tablet must be connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with internet access.
- You must have the correct Wi-Fi password.
- Your smartphone or tablet must have access to the APP Store or Google Play.
- Ensure your router's MAC address filtering is open (if applicable).
5.2 Power Supply
The module can be powered via a Micro USB 5V input or the screw terminal ports (DC/AC 7-32V or AC 85-250V, depending on the model).
Important Note on Passive Output (Dry Contact):
The relays provide a passive output, meaning they do not supply voltage. You must provide an external power source to the connected device at the output terminals for it to function. The input power only powers the PCB board itself. If you do not supply power to the output, the connected device will not work.

5.4 App Installation and Device Pairing
- Download the 'eWeLink' APP from your device's APP Store or Google Play.
- Register an eWeLink account. If you already have one, simply log in.
- Power up the device.
- After installation, power the device and hold the pairing button for 7 seconds. The red light will flash, indicating the start of pairing.
- In the eWeLink app, tap to add a device. 'Fast mode' is usually preferred. In special cases (Touch), you may try 'Compatibility Model (AP)'.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Name your device.
- Once the Wi-Fi LED is steadily on, the device is online and ready for control.
6. Operating Modes
The Smart Life Relay Module supports two main working modes: Self-locking and Inching.
6.1 Self-locking Mode
In this mode, each channel can be switched on/off independently. You can also turn on/off all channels simultaneously. Once a channel is switched, it remains in that state until manually changed again.
6.2 Inching Mode
When in inching mode, switching on a channel will automatically close it after a set duration (default 0.5 seconds). This mode is ideal for momentary actions like opening a garage door or triggering a pulse. The duration can be adjusted in the app.

Two Wiring Options for Inching Mode:
When using inching mode, you can configure the wiring for two behaviors:
- Turn on for 0.5 seconds and then auto-off.
- Turn off for 0.5 seconds and then auto-on.
7. App Control Features
APP Remote Control:
Control connected home appliances (lights, electric kettles, curtains, etc.) from anywhere using the eWeLink app.
RF433 Control:
For modules supporting RF433MHz, you can control the device using a compatible RF433MHz remote controller.
Mobile Phone Control (2.4GHz WiFi & Mobile Network):
Control the module via your smartphone using your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network when at home, or via 2G/3G/4G mobile network when outside. Ensure your router is online and the module is within range.
Voice Control:
Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Use voice commands to turn connected appliances on/off.

Group multiple smart devices, including this WiFi module, in the app to control them all simultaneously with a single command.
8. Applications
The Smart Life Relay Module can be used for a wide range of home automation tasks:
- Remote control of lights and lamps.
- Controlling PCs and other home appliances.
- Opening/closing garage doors.
- Managing door access systems.
- Controlling DC and AC motors for forward and reverse operations.

9. Troubleshooting
9.1 Device not connecting to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz is not supported).
- Verify the Wi-Fi password is correct.
- Make sure the device is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check if your router's MAC address filtering is disabled or configured to allow the device.
- Try 'Compatibility Mode (AP)' in the eWeLink app if 'Fast Mode' fails.
9.2 Connected appliance not working:
- Confirm that an external power source is supplied to the output terminals of the relay, as it provides a passive (dry contact) output.
- Check all wiring connections for security and correctness.
9.3 Voice control not responding:
- Ensure the device is properly linked to your Alexa or Google Home account within the eWeLink app.
- Verify the device name used in voice commands matches the name set in the app.
- Check your internet connection.
10. User Tips
- For optimal performance, place the module in an area with good Wi-Fi signal strength.
- Regularly check for eWeLink app updates to ensure compatibility and access to new features.
- When setting up complex automation, test each step individually before integrating into larger routines.
