Operating Instructions
RGB Backlight Control
The X87 keyboard features 16 million RGB backlight options with 27 dynamic and static effects. The south-facing LEDs enhance the visual experience. Specific key combinations (usually involving the 'Fn' key) are used to cycle through lighting modes, adjust brightness, and change colors. Refer to the quick start guide or the customization software for detailed instructions on RGB control.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your keyboard, first disconnect it from your device. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keycaps and chassis. For deeper cleaning, you can use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keys. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Switch and Keycap Replacement
The X87 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to easily replace switches without soldering. It supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. The PBT keycaps are also removable for customization or replacement.
- **Removing Keycaps**: Use the provided key puller to gently pull keycaps straight up.
- **Removing Switches**: Use the switch puller (part of the 2-in-1 tool) to carefully grip the switch and pull it straight up.
- **Installing Switches**: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Gently press the switch down until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
- **Installing Keycaps**: Place the keycap over the switch stem and press down firmly.

Gasket Structure
The X87 utilizes an upgraded gasket mount design with five layers of sound-absorbing fill, including PORON Sandwich Cotton, IXPE Switch Pad, PET Sound Absorbing Foam, Sponge Case Foam, and a Bottom Silicone Pad. This construction minimizes noise and provides a soft, pure sound and smooth typing experience. No user maintenance is typically required for the internal gasket structure.

Troubleshooting
- **Keyboard not responding**: Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the connection mode switch (2.4G, BT, USB) matches your intended connection. For wired mode, ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected. For wireless modes, ensure the receiver is plugged in (2.4G) or Bluetooth is paired correctly.
- **Keys not registering**: If specific keys are not working, try removing and re-seating the switch for that key. Ensure the switch pins are not bent.
- **Backlight issues**: If the RGB backlight is not working or behaving unexpectedly, try resetting the lighting effects using the keyboard's function keys or through the customization software. Ensure the battery has sufficient charge.
- **Connectivity issues**: If experiencing intermittent disconnections in wireless modes, try moving the keyboard closer to the receiver/device or reducing interference from other wireless devices. Re-pair Bluetooth connections if necessary.
- **Software not detecting keyboard**: Ensure the keyboard is connected via USB-C wired mode when attempting to use the customization software. Download and install the latest version of the software from the official website.
User Tips
- **Layout**: The Attack Shark X87 features an ANSI layout. If you are accustomed to an ISO layout (e.g., with a large 'Enter' key), please be aware of the difference in keycap shape and placement.
- **Customization**: Take advantage of the customization software to personalize your keyboard's functions and lighting to suit your workflow or gaming style.
- **Battery Management**: To maximize battery life, consider turning off RGB lighting when not needed, especially during extended periods of wireless use.
