1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the CT8893B Temperature Controller. This device is designed for precise temperature control in applications such as refrigerated dryers and coal coolers, featuring dew point and condensation temperature sensing capabilities.

2. Specifications
2.1 Technical Indicators
- Temperature Range: -20℃ to 100℃ (Resolution: 0.1℃)
- Power Supply Voltage: Default 220V AC ±10% (Also available in 110V AC, refer to product label for specific model)
- Sensor Type: NTC R25=5kΩ/25℃ B(25/50)=3470K
- Protection Class: IP65 CAT II
2.2 Relay Output Ratings
- Compressor Relay: 20A 250V AC
- Fan Relay: 8A 250V AC

3. Installation and Wiring
3.1 Precautions
- Always use the temperature sensor provided by the manufacturer.
- Ensure the fan load does not exceed 200W.
- For compressor loads greater than 1.5HP, an external contactor is required. Loads 1.5HP or less can be directly controlled by the internal relay.
3.2 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the diagram below for proper wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical codes.

Terminal Connections:
- T1, T2: NTC Temperature Sensors (Dew point temperature, Condensation temperature)
- S1: External Alarm Signal Input
- Compressor: Connect to terminals 6, 7, 8 (20A 250V AC)
- Fan: Connect to terminals 9, 10 (8A 250V AC)
- N (Neutral): Power Neutral Input
- L (Live): Power Live Input (220V AC)

4. Operation Guide
4.1 Indicator Lights on Panel
| Indicator | Meaning | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Light icon (solid) | Refrigerating | Unit is actively cooling. |
| Light icon (flashing) | Process for cooling | Compressor is in delay protection state before starting. |
| Up/Down arrows (solid) | Fan | Fan is operating. |
| Up/Down arrows (flashing) | Alarm status | An alarm condition is active. |
4.2 Temperature Display
- After power-on and self-test completion, the dual tube will display the current temperature value.
- Press the 'Set' key to display the temperature value.
- When the 'Set' key is pressed again, the dew point temperature will be displayed.
4.3 Cumulative Working Time Display
Press and hold the '∧' (Up) key simultaneously with the 'Set' key to display the cumulative working time of the compressor.
4.4 Advanced Operations (Parameter Settings)
To enter the parameter setting state, press and hold the 'M' key for 5 seconds. The display will show parameter codes. Use the '∧' and '∨' keys to navigate through parameters and adjust values. Press 'Set' to confirm changes.
Key parameters include:
- F11: Dew point temperature setting
- F12: Condensation temperature setting
- F20: Compressor delay protection time (0.2 - 60.0 minutes)
- F31: Antifreeze temperature (-5.0 - 10.0 ℃)
- F41: Fan control mode (OFF, 1-4)
- F50: External alarm mode (0 - 4)
- F63: Sensor fault delay (0.1 - 60.0 minutes)

5. Basic Working Principles
5.1 Compressor Control
Upon power-on, the compressor will undergo a delay protection period (set by F20) before starting. During this delay, the compressor indicator will flash. If an external alarm signal (S1) is detected, the compressor will stop operation.5.2 Fan Control
The fan operation is primarily controlled by the condensation temperature. It activates when the temperature is at or above the set point (F42) and below the 'set point - return difference' (F43). If the condensate sensor fails, the fan will turn off along with the compressor output.
When the fan is controlled by dew point temperature, it will close when the temperature is lower than F31, and open when the temperature is higher than F31 + F32. If the condensing temperature is higher than F42, the fan is forced to turn on.
5.3 Start-Stop Function
This function is off by default. To enable it, set parameter F51 to YES. Factory default settings for this function are: shutdown temperature F52 = 6.0℃, shutdown delay F53 = 5.0 minutes, and startup temperature F54 = 7.0℃.
The compressor stops if the dew point temperature is lower than 5.0℃ for more than 5.0 minutes. The compressor starts if the dew point temperature is higher than 7.0℃ and the compressor has been stopped for longer than the minimum compressor stop time (F21). Parameter F21 is crucial for overall system operation, regardless of the shutdown cause.
5.4 Relay Interchange
If the fan requires frequent starting and stopping, or if its power exceeds 200W, the compressor and fan relay outputs can be interchanged. In this configuration, the fan is controlled by the large load capacity relay, and the compressor is controlled by an external contactor connected to the small load capacity relay.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Notice Code Display Meaning
When an alarm condition occurs, the temperature and an alarm code (AL) will be displayed alternately on the screen. Simultaneously, the buzzer will sound an alarm. Press any key to silence the buzzer. The alarm code display can be controlled via parameter settings.
| Code | Meaning | Description |
|---|---|---|
| A11 | External alarm | Triggered by external alarm signal (S1). |
| A21 | Dew point temperature alarm | Indicates an issue with dew point temperature. |
| A31 | Condensation temperature alarm | Indicates an issue with condensation temperature. |
6.2 External Alarm Function
The controller supports 5 modes for external alarm signals (configured via parameter F50):
- 0: External alarm function disabled.
- 1: Normally open, not locked.
- 2: Normally open, locked.
- 3: Normally closed, not locked.
- 4: Normally closed, locked.
