6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and device body. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Memory Card: Regularly format your Micro SD/TF card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important video files before formatting.
- Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for firmware updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold) for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and component longevity.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the car charger is securely connected to both the DVR and the car's power outlet. Remember, the device requires the dedicated car charger and will not work with a standard USB cable. Check your car's power outlet for functionality.
- Recording Issues: Ensure a Class 10 or higher Micro SD/TF card is inserted correctly and has sufficient free space. Format the card if issues persist.
- CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Verify Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone and the DVR. Try restarting both devices. Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date.
- No Audio Output: Check your selected audio output method (Bluetooth, FM, AUX). If using FM, ensure the DVR and car radio are tuned to the same clear frequency. If using AUX, ensure the cable is properly connected.
- GPS Not Tracking: Ensure the optional GPS antenna is securely connected and the vehicle is in an open area with clear sky view.
- Rear Camera Not Displaying: Check the connection of the rear camera cable to the DVR. Ensure the rear camera is properly installed and powered (if applicable).
8. User Tips
- Power Source: Always use the provided car charger to power the device. It is specifically designed for the DVR's power requirements, and using a generic USB cable will not work.
- Optimal Viewing: Experiment with the 350-degree rotatable front camera to find the best recording angle for your needs, whether it's the road ahead or monitoring the car's interior.
- Memory Card Management: To maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data loss, it is recommended to format your TF card regularly (e.g., monthly).
