3. Setup Guide
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the Butterfly V40 aircraft.
- Insert the modular lithium battery into the compartment, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

3.2. Charging the Battery
- Connect the USB charging cable to the aircraft's charging port and a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
- The indicator light on the charging cable or aircraft will show the charging status. Refer to the specific light behavior in the remote control guide diagram for details.
- Once fully charged, disconnect the cable.
3.3. Remote Controller Setup
- Ensure the remote controller has fresh batteries installed (not specified, assume standard AAA or AA).
- Turn on the remote controller using the power switch.
- The remote controller and aircraft should automatically pair. If not, refer to the troubleshooting section.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off
- To power on the aircraft, press and hold the power button on the aircraft until the lights illuminate.
- To power on the remote controller, slide the power switch to the 'ON' position.
- To power off, reverse the steps.
4.2. Basic Flight Controls (Remote Control Guide)

- Pilot Lamp: Indicates remote status.
- Short Press Emergency Stop / Long Press Calibration: Quickly stop the drone or calibrate its sensors.
- Control Stick: Controls flight direction and altitude.
- Short Press Speed / Press and Hold to Switch Modes: Adjust flight speed or change between flight modes.
- Short Press Headless Mode / Long Press Hover: Activate headless mode or initiate stable hovering.
- Power Switch: Turns the remote controller on/off.
- Press the Light Switch and Hold to Fine-Tune Mode: Control the aircraft's lights and fine-tune flight.
- Gravity Release Switch: Activates gravity sensing mode.
4.3. Takeoff and Landing
- One-Key Takeoff: Press the designated 'Take Off' button on the remote (refer to Figure 4.1). The aircraft will automatically ascend to a stable hovering height.
- One-Key Landing: Press the designated 'Land' button. The aircraft will automatically descend and land gently.
- Emergency Stop: In case of emergency, short press the 'Emergency Stop' button.

4.4. Flight Modes & Features
- Optical Flow Hovering: The drone uses optical sensors to maintain a stable position, making it easier to control.
- Barometric Height Setting: Automatically sets and maintains a fixed height for stable hovering. Features three-speed switch for different skill levels.
- Gravity Sensing Mode: Switch to gravity sensing mode using the remote. The drone will respond to the tilt of the remote controller.
- Headless Mode: In headless mode, the aircraft automatically recognizes the direction of the remote control, eliminating the need to identify the front and back of the aircraft. This makes it easier for beginners to control.
- One-Click Circling (Aerial Stunts): Perform cool aerial stunts with a single button press.
- Obstacle Avoidance: Features front and rear induction obstacle avoidance. The drone will automatically turn right after front induction to avoid collision risks.
- Colorful Lights: The aircraft is equipped with high brightness LED lights for dazzling night flights.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the aircraft and remote controller. Do not use water or harsh chemicals.
- Battery Care: Always fully charge the battery before use. Do not overcharge. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove the battery if the aircraft will not be used for an extended period.
- Propeller Replacement: If a propeller is damaged, carefully remove it and replace it with a new one from the spare parts provided. Ensure the new propeller is installed correctly.
- Material Durability: The aircraft is made from high-toughness EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) and plastic, designed to be resistant to falls and crashes. However, extreme impacts should still be avoided.

6. Troubleshooting
- Aircraft not responding to remote: Ensure both the aircraft and remote are powered on and fully charged. Re-pair the remote and aircraft if necessary (refer to remote control guide for calibration).
- Unstable flight/Drifting: Perform a calibration of the aircraft (long press emergency stop button on remote). Ensure propellers are not damaged and are installed correctly. Fly in an area free from strong air currents.
- Short flight time: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Battery performance may degrade over time; consider replacing if flight time significantly decreases.
- Obstacle avoidance not working: Ensure the sensors are clean and unobstructed. Fly in well-lit conditions for optimal sensor performance.
- Lights not working: Check if the light switch on the remote is activated.
