6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the Smart Tag with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the device.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Cannot pair with Apple Find My:
    • Ensure your Apple device meets the minimum iOS/iPadOS version (14.5 or later).
    • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Apple device.
    • Confirm you are using the official Apple 'Find My' app, not a third-party application.
    • Try resetting the Smart Tag (if applicable, refer to specific reset instructions if provided with the product, otherwise, remove and reinsert the battery).
    • Ensure the Smart Tag battery is not depleted.
  • Location is inaccurate or not updating:
    • The accuracy and update frequency depend on the density of Apple devices in the area. In remote areas, updates may be less frequent.
    • Ensure the Smart Tag is not obstructed by thick materials that could block its signal.
    • Check the battery level of your Smart Tag.
  • Sound is not playing or is too quiet:
    • Ensure the Smart Tag is within Bluetooth range of your Apple device to play a sound directly.
    • Check for any physical obstructions covering the speaker on the Smart Tag.
    • Replace the battery if the sound is weak.

8. User Tips

  • Use the Official App: Always use the Apple 'Find My' app for pairing and tracking to ensure full functionality and compatibility with the Apple Find My network.
  • Attach Securely: Use the integrated loop to attach the Smart Tag securely to items like keys, backpacks, luggage, or pet collars.
  • Regular Battery Checks: While the battery lasts up to a year, consider checking its status periodically in the 'Find My' app, especially before important trips.
  • Customize Names: Give your Smart Tags descriptive names in the 'Find My' app (e.g., "Car Keys," "Child's Backpack") for easy identification.
