7. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the charger and try again. If the issue persists, the battery may need replacement or there could be a power circuit issue.
- No camera image on screen:
- Verify the camera is powered on and connected correctly to the appropriate BNC input (AHD/CVI/TVI IN or SDI BNC IN).
- Ensure the correct camera type mode is selected on the tester (e.g., AHD mode for an AHD camera). Try using the 'Auto HD' function.
- Check the camera's resolution compatibility with the tester (refer to Specifications).
- Confirm the camera is not an IP camera, as these are not supported.
- UTP cable test fails or shows incorrect wiring:
- Ensure both ends of the cable are securely connected to the main tester unit and the remote unit.
- Check the RJ45 connectors for any bent pins or improper crimping.
- Try testing with a known good cable to rule out a tester issue.
- HDMI/VGA input not displaying:
- Ensure the source device (DVR/NVR) is powered on and outputting video.
- Verify the cable connections are secure.
- Select the correct input mode (HDMI IN or VGA IN) on the tester.
- Check the output resolution of the source device against the tester's supported input resolutions.
- PTZ control not working:
- Ensure the camera supports PTZ control over coaxial cable (COC) or via RS485.
