3.2 Connecting the 12LED Light Set
The HotRC receivers feature 7 dedicated LED interfaces for connecting the 12LED light set. Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connections.

Figure 4: F-01AT Receiver LED Wiring Diagram
The 12LED light set includes various types of lights. Identify each light type by its color and label as shown in Figure 5.

Figure 5: 12LED Light Set Components
- Connect the LED light wires to the corresponding ports (1-7) on the receiver as indicated by the wiring diagram.
- Ensure correct polarity (Positive (+) and Negative (-)) when connecting. The receiver has clearly marked pins for power and signal.
- The 'EXT.V' port is for external voltage return.
- The 'Pairing button' is used for binding the receiver to your transmitter.
3.3 Receiver Binding (Pairing)
To establish communication between your transmitter and receiver:
- Power on your transmitter and set it to binding mode (refer to your transmitter's manual).
- Connect power to the receiver (DC4V-9V).
- Press and hold the 'Pairing button' on the receiver until the indicator light changes, indicating successful binding.
- Once bound, the receiver's indicator light should be solid.
4. Operation
4.1 Light Control
The 7 LED interfaces on the receiver allow for various lighting functions. Once connected as per the wiring diagram (Figure 4), these lights can be controlled via your transmitter's channels. Typically, specific channels on your transmitter will be assigned to control functions like turn signals, headlights, and flashers. Consult your transmitter's manual for channel assignment and control methods.
4.2 Gyroscope Function (F-01AT only)
The F-01AT receiver includes a built-in gyroscope. This feature automatically corrects the model's direction, helping it maintain a straight line and preventing unwanted tail swinging or rollovers, especially useful for RC cars, boats, and tanks. The gyroscope's sensitivity may be adjustable via your transmitter or a dedicated setting on the receiver (if available). Important: The gyroscope function is not designed for or supported by aircraft models.
4.3 Voltage Return Function
Both F-01A and F-01AT receivers provide a voltage return function. This allows you to monitor the model's battery voltage in real-time on your compatible transmitter, providing crucial information about battery status during operation. The return voltage range is 0-27V.
5. Maintenance
- Keep Clean: Regularly clean the receiver and LED lights to prevent dust and debris buildup, which can affect performance.
- Check Connections: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for looseness or damage. Secure any loose connections.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep the receiver and LED lights dry. Moisture can cause short circuits and damage components.
- Proper Storage: When not in use, store the components in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Antenna Care: Ensure the receiver antenna is not bent sharply or damaged, as this can reduce range.
6. Troubleshooting
- No Power to Receiver/Lights: Check battery connections, ensure correct voltage (DC4V-9V for receiver, 4.8V-6.0V for lights), and verify all wires are securely plugged in.
- No Signal/Control: Ensure the receiver is correctly bound to the transmitter. Check transmitter battery levels. Verify the antenna is properly positioned and undamaged.
- Lights Not Working: Check individual LED connections and polarity. Ensure the input voltage for the lights is within the specified range (4.8V-6.0V). Test individual LEDs if possible.
- Gyroscope Malfunction (F-01AT): If the gyroscope is not functioning as expected, ensure it is enabled on your transmitter (if applicable) and that the model type is not an aircraft. Recalibrate if necessary (refer to transmitter manual).
- Short Range: Ensure the receiver antenna is fully extended and not obstructed by carbon fiber or metal parts. Avoid operating in areas with high interference.
7. User Tips
- Cable Management: Use cable ties or heat shrink tubing to neatly organize and secure wires, preventing them from interfering with moving parts or getting damaged.
- Waterproofing: For RC boats or models exposed to moisture, consider adding a waterproof coating or enclosure for the receiver to protect it.
- Test Before Use: Always perform a range check and functional test of all controls and lights before operating your RC model.
- Battery Monitoring: Utilize the voltage return function to keep track of your model's battery status, preventing unexpected power loss during operation.
