3. Setup & Initial Programming

The Rexton Inox 5A hearing aids are programmable devices. Proper programming according to your audiogram is crucial for optimal performance.

Hearing Loss Suitability:

These devices are suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss. They are not recommended for severe or profound hearing loss situations. Generally, the device requires hearing loss under 70dB (0-2000 Hz) and under 90dB (2000-8000 Hz). If you are unsure if this device fits your hearing loss situation, please consult with a specialist.

Programming Options:

  1. Pre-programming by Seller: You can send your hearing audiogram to the seller, and they will pre-program the device before shipping.
  2. Self-programming via App: The Inox 5A supports programming via a mobile phone application called "Fit2Go" (for Android devices). This app allows you to process sounds of different frequencies, adjust sound balance, and gain tone.

Note: The configuration app ("Fit2Go") only supports Android systems. If you use an iPhone, you will need to send your audiogram for pre-programming. A separate "volume control app" is compatible with both iOS and Android.

5. Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Rexton Inox 5A hearing aids.

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean your hearing aids with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water or cleaning solutions directly on the device.
  • Moisture and Dust Protection: The Nano Coating Shell is designed to resist sweat and dust, making the device more durable. However, always store your hearing aids in a dry place when not in use.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace the button battery (10A for CIC, 312A for ITC) as needed. Battery life is approximately 5 days for CIC and 7 days for ITC models.
  • Eardome Care: Ensure the eardome is clean and free from wax buildup. Replace if damaged or worn.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Sound or Weak Sound:
    • Check if the battery is inserted correctly and has sufficient power. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the eardome is not blocked by earwax or debris. Clean thoroughly.
    • Verify that the device is properly programmed according to your audiogram. Incorrect programming can lead to improper function.
  • Feedback/Whistling Sound:
    • Ensure the hearing aid is seated correctly and snugly in your ear canal.
    • Check if the eardome is the correct size and fit.
    • The built-in anti-howling system should suppress most feedback, but extreme cases might require adjustment.
  • Unclear Sound or Distortion:
    • Adjust the volume and equalizer settings via the Rexton app.
    • Ensure the microphone is clean and unobstructed.
    • If issues persist, re-evaluate your audiogram programming.

If you encounter any persistent problems with device operation, please contact customer support for assistance.
