Setup Guide

1. SIM Card Installation

The D35 Smart Watch requires a Nano SIM card for 4G connectivity, calls, and advanced location features. Ensure the SIM card is active and has a data plan.

  1. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the watch.
  2. Carefully insert the Nano SIM card into the slot as shown in the diagram, ensuring correct orientation.
  3. Close the SIM card slot cover securely to maintain water resistance.

2. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the watch using the provided magnetic charging cable.

  1. Connect the magnetic end of the charging cable to the charging points on the back of the watch.
  2. Connect the USB end of the cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
  3. The watch screen will indicate charging status. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.

3. App Installation and Pairing

To utilize all features, download and install the companion app "setracker2" on a parent's smartphone.

  1. Search for "setracker2" in your smartphone's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and pair the watch using its unique QR code (usually found in the watch's settings or on the packaging).

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button (SOS button) for a few seconds until the screen lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then select "Power Off" on the screen. Alternatively, the watch can be remotely shut down via the companion app.

Navigation

The watch features a 1.69-inch touch screen. Swipe left/right to navigate between app screens, tap to select, and swipe down from the top for quick settings/notifications.

Making and Receiving Calls

With an installed and active Nano SIM card, your child can make and receive calls from pre-approved contacts.

  • Dialing: Tap the "Phone" icon, select a contact from the address book, or dial a number directly (if enabled).
  • Answering: When a call comes in, tap the green answer icon on the screen.
  • Video Calls: The watch supports two-way video calling. Tap the "Video Call" icon to initiate a video call with approved contacts.

SOS Emergency Call

In case of an emergency, your child can activate the SOS function:

  • Press and hold the dedicated SOS button (Power button) for 3-5 seconds.
  • The watch will automatically dial pre-set emergency contacts in a loop until one answers.
  • An SOS alert will also be sent to the parent's app.

Location Tracking (GPS+AGPS+LBS+WiFi)

The D35 Smart Watch uses multiple positioning technologies for accurate location tracking.

  • Real-time Tracking: View your child's current location on the map within the "setracker2" app.
  • Route Playback: Review your child's historical movement routes.
  • Geo-fence: Set safe zones (e.g., home, school) in the app. You will receive notifications when your child enters or leaves these areas.
  • Position updates are automatically uploaded every 10 minutes.

Maintenance

Water Resistance

The D35 Smart Watch is IPX7 professional waterproof. This means it is resistant to splashes and brief immersion in water. However, it is not suitable for showering, swimming, or prolonged submersion.

Cleaning

  • Wipe the watch screen and body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Battery Care

Troubleshooting

Watch Does Not Power On

  • Ensure the watch is fully charged. Connect it to the magnetic charging cable and a power source for at least 30 minutes.
  • Try pressing and holding the Power/SOS button for 10-15 seconds to force a restart.

Cannot Make/Receive Calls or Connect to Network

  • Check if the Nano SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.
  • Ensure the SIM card has sufficient balance or an active data plan.
  • Verify that the watch is in an area with 4G/3G/2G network coverage.
  • Confirm that the phone numbers are correctly saved in the watch's address book and approved in the companion app.

Inaccurate Location Tracking

  • Ensure the watch has a clear view of the sky for optimal GPS signal.
  • Location accuracy can be affected by dense buildings, underground areas, or poor network signal.
  • Verify that Wi-Fi is enabled on the watch (if available) to assist with LBS and Wi-Fi positioning.
  • Check the "setracker2" app settings to ensure location services are enabled and updated frequently.

Watch Not Charging

  • Ensure the magnetic charging cable is securely connected to both the watch and the power source.
  • Check for any debris or corrosion on the charging contacts of both the cable and the watch.
  • Try using a different USB power adapter or USB port.

App Connection Issues

  • Ensure both the watch and the parent's smartphone have an active internet connection.
  • Restart both the watch and the smartphone.
  • Log out and log back into the "setracker2" app.
  • Ensure the watch is correctly bound to your account in the app.

User Tips

  • Strap Adjustment: The silicone strap is designed for comfort and durability. If your child has wider wrists, ensure the strap is adjusted to a comfortable, non-constricting fit. The band is detachable for potential replacement if needed.
  • Remote Monitoring: The remote monitoring function allows parents to discreetly listen to the watch's surroundings via the app, providing an extra layer of security.
  • Network Compatibility: Before purchasing a SIM card, verify that the local network provider's frequency bands are compatible with the watch's supported bands (FDD: B1 B2 B3 B5 B7 B8 B20; WCDMA: B1 B2 B5 B8; GSM: B2 B3 B5 B8). This is crucial for full functionality in different countries.
