Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your LED dimmer switch:
- Power Source: Ensure your power source (LED Driver) matches the required DC12V or DC24V voltage for your LED strip.
- Connect Input: Connect the input DC plug (5.5mm outer diameter, 2.1mm inner diameter) of the dimmer switch to your DC power adapter/LED driver.
- Connect Output: Connect the output DC plug (2.1mm outer diameter, 5.5mm inner diameter) of the dimmer switch to your single-color LED strip lights.
- Secure Placement: The dimmer switch can be installed using double-sided tape on a non-metallic surface. Ensure the touch sensor area is easily accessible.

Important Installation Notes:
- DO NOT wire the device backwards. Incorrect wiring can lead to overheating and short-circuiting of the controller.
- The mini touch dimmer switch controller cannot be placed on a metal surface or held in your hand for dimming, as this may interfere with its touch sensitivity and functionality.

Operating Instructions
The Metal Touch Sensor Switch LED Dimmer is operated by touching its metal body:
- On/Off Function: A short touch (less than 5 seconds) on the metal body will toggle the LED lights on or off.
- Dimming Function: A long touch (more than 5 seconds) on the metal body will activate the dimming function. The brightness will continuously adjust, either increasing to 100% or decreasing to 0%. Release your finger when the desired brightness level is reached.

Maintenance
The BTF-LIGHTING Metal Touch Sensor Switch LED Dimmer requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the touch surface is clear of obstructions for optimal performance.
Troubleshooting
- Lights not turning on/off or dimming:
- Check all connections to ensure they are secure and correctly wired (input to power, output to LED strip). Refer to the "Setup and Installation" section for correct wiring.
- Verify that the power source (LED driver) is providing the correct voltage (DC12V or DC24V) and is functioning properly.
- Ensure the LED strip lights are compatible with the dimmer (single color, 2-pin) and are not faulty.
- Confirm that the dimmer is not placed on a metal surface or being held in hand during operation, as this can interfere with the touch sensor.
- Dimmer overheating or short-circuiting:
- Immediately disconnect power. This is often caused by incorrect wiring, particularly wiring the input and output backwards. Re-check wiring according to the installation diagram.
- Ensure the total wattage of your LED lights does not exceed the dimmer's maximum load (36W for 12V, 72W for 24V). Overloading can cause overheating.
User Tips
- For optimal performance, mount the dimmer in an easily accessible location where the touch sensor is not obstructed.
- Consider the aesthetic integration of the dimmer. Its compact size allows for discreet placement in cabinets, under shelves, or behind furniture.
- If controlling a very long LED strip or multiple strips, ensure the total wattage does not exceed the dimmer's capacity. For larger installations, consider using an amplifier in conjunction with the dimmer.
