3. Setup and Assembly

The RK15 electric bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for potential future transport or returns.
  2. Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring they are centered and tightened securely.
  3. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, making sure the disc brake rotor is correctly aligned with the caliper.
  4. Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms by hand, then tighten with a wrench. Note that the left pedal has a reverse thread.
  5. Seat Post and Saddle Adjustment: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height for a comfortable riding position. Ensure the quick-release lever is securely closed.
  6. Battery Installation: Insert the battery into its compartment on the frame and ensure it clicks into place.
  7. Pre-Ride Check: Before your first ride, double-check all bolts, nuts, and quick releases for tightness. Ensure tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Battery Charging

The 36V 10.4Ah lithium-ion battery provides a range of 30-50 km and takes 5-6 hours to fully charge. The battery is removable for convenient charging. Always use the original charger provided with your bike.

4.2 Powering On/Off and Riding Modes

  1. Power On: Press and hold the activation button on the handlebars or LCD display to turn on the bike's electrical system.
  2. LCD Display: The intelligent LCD display shows real-time speed, trip distance, total mileage, battery level, and assist level.
  3. Assist Levels: Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display control panel to adjust the pedal assist level.
  4. Throttle: The bike is equipped with a throttle for electric-only propulsion. Use responsibly and according to local regulations.
  5. Gears: Utilize the 7-speed gear system with the rear derailleur lever to adapt to different terrains and riding conditions.
