- Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the projector's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the device.
- Ventilation: Ensure the projector's air vents are clear and unobstructed to prevent overheating. Operate in a well-ventilated area.
- Storage: When not in use, store the projector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use the original packaging or a protective case if available.
- Power Off Properly: Always power off the projector using the designated power button and allow it to cool down before unplugging or moving.
Troubleshooting
No Sound from Projector (Dolby Audio)
This projector does not support Dolby sound. If you experience no sound when playing videos from sources like Amazon Fire Stick, Netflix, or Blu-ray movies, it is likely due to Dolby audio encoding.
Solution: Turn off Dolby sound on your connected device or app. For example:
- General Devices: Go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Audio > Dolby Digital Output > and then turn Dolby Digital (OFF).
- Fire TV Stick: Navigate to Settings > Display & Sounds > Audio > Surround Sound, and select PCM.
- DVD Player: If there is no sound when playing from a DVD player, change the player's audio setting 'digital audio output' to PCM.
Protected Content Playback Issues
Protected video content from apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu cannot be played directly via smartphone mirroring (USB interface) due to encryption protocols. The projector does not have the necessary rights to recognize such content when connected this way.
Solution:
- For iPhones, try playing protected video via a browser instead of an app.
- For all devices, connect a streaming stick (e.g., Amazon Fire Stick, Roku, Chrome Cast) to the projector's HDMI port. These devices include the necessary HDMI interface encryption protocol to play protected content.
