Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and check for any damage. Keep packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the coffee maker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the glass jug and filter holder with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
  4. First Brew Cycle (without coffee):
    • Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level.
    • Place an empty filter (or the reusable filter if included) in the filter holder.
    • Place the empty glass jug on the heating plate.
    • Plug the coffee maker into a grounded power outlet.
    • Turn on the coffee maker and let it complete a full brewing cycle.
    • Discard the water from the jug. This process cleans the internal components and removes any manufacturing residues.
  5. Your coffee maker is now ready for use.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee:

  1. Fill Water Tank: Open the lid and fill the water tank with fresh, cold water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (800 ml, approximately 6 cups).
  2. Add Coffee Grounds: Place a paper filter (size 1x2 or 1x4, depending on model, or the reusable filter) into the filter holder. Add your desired amount of ground coffee. A general guideline is one level scoop (approx. 7g) per cup.
  3. Position Jug: Ensure the glass jug is correctly placed on the heating plate.
  4. Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a grounded power outlet and press the power switch to turn it on. The brewing process will begin.
  5. Keep Warm Function: Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker's automatic heat preservation function will keep the coffee warm on the heating plate.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the jug to pour coffee. The anti-drip system will temporarily stop the flow of coffee.

Care and Maintenance

Daily Cleaning:

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Discard Grounds: Remove and discard the used coffee filter and grounds.
  3. Wash Removable Parts: Wash the glass jug, filter holder, and any reusable filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts may also be dishwasher safe (check product specific instructions if available, otherwise hand wash is recommended).
  4. Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
  5. Do NOT Immerse: Never immerse the main unit of the coffee maker in water or any other liquid.

Descaling:

Mineral deposits from water can build up over time and affect performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly (e.g., every 2-3 months, or more often in hard water areas).

  1. Prepare a descaling solution according to the descaler manufacturer's instructions, or use a mixture of white vinegar and water (e.g., 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).
  2. Pour the solution into the water tank.
  3. Place the empty glass jug on the heating plate.
  4. Run a brewing cycle.
  5. After the cycle, turn off the coffee maker and let the solution sit in the jug for about 15-30 minutes.
  6. Discard the solution and rinse the jug thoroughly.
  7. Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to flush out any remaining descaling solution.
