4. Controls and Interface Overview

5. Setup
5.1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Upon receiving your occkic A7 MP3 player, carefully unbox it and verify that all package contents are present and undamaged. Refer to the 'Package Contents' section for a list of included items.

5.2. Charging the Device
Before first use, fully charge the MP3 player. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the device's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
5.3. Inserting a TF (Micro SD) Card
The device supports memory expansion up to 128GB via a Micro SD card. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the player. Gently insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is inserted correctly to avoid damage.

5.4. Powering On/Off
To power on the device, press and hold the central Power/Play button until the screen lights up. To power off, press and hold the same button until the device shuts down.
5.5. Initial Settings (Language, Date & Time, Brightness)
After powering on, you may need to configure basic settings:
- Language: From the main menu, navigate to 'Settings' > 'Language'. Select your preferred language (English, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Spanish).
- Date & Time: From 'Settings', select 'Date & time' to set the current date and time.
- Brightness: From 'Settings', select 'Brightness' to adjust the screen brightness level.
- Idle Shutdown: From 'Settings', select 'Idle Shutdown' to configure automatic shutdown after a period of inactivity.
6. Operation
6.1. Music Playback
From the main menu, select 'Music'. You can browse your music library by 'All songs', 'Artists', 'Albums', or 'Favorites'. Use the Previous/Next buttons to navigate through tracks and the central Play/Pause button to control playback. The device supports lossless audio formats for high-fidelity sound.

6.2. Video Playback
From the main menu, select 'Video'. Please note that this unit only supports 128*160 size video after dedicated conversion. Ensure your video files are in AVI format and converted to the supported resolution for optimal playback.

6.3. FM Radio
From the main menu, select 'FM Radio'. You can tune into various radio stations. The supported frequency bands are: Common Band (87.5MHz~108MHz), Japan Band (76MHZ~90MHz), and European Band (87.5MHz~108MHz).

6.4. Voice Recording
From the main menu, select 'Recording'. The device supports remote HD voice recording, ideal for meetings, classes, or interviews. It records in WAV/MP3 formats with a maximum bit rate of 1536 KBPS and an effective recording distance of up to 8 meters.

6.5. E-Book Reading
From the main menu, select 'E-Books' to access and read electronic books stored on your device or TF card.
6.6. Bluetooth Connection
To connect to Bluetooth headphones or speakers:
- From the main menu, navigate to 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth'.
- Ensure Bluetooth is turned 'On'.
- Select 'Available Devices' to search for nearby Bluetooth devices.
- Select your desired device from the list to pair.

Important Note on Bluetooth Compatibility:
- The player's Bluetooth cannot be paired with Bluetooth of a computer or a mobile phone.
- Player Bluetooth may not be compatible with genuine iPhone, JBL Bluetooth headsets, or certain Bluetooth speakers.

8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Device Not Turning On
- Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the Type-C cable and allow it to charge for at least 15 minutes before attempting to power on again.
- Press and hold the Power/Play button for several seconds.
8.2. Cannot Pair with Bluetooth Device
- Ensure the Bluetooth device (headphones/speaker) is in pairing mode.
- Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Bluetooth' > 'Available Devices' on the MP3 player and refresh the list.
- Remember that the player's Bluetooth cannot be paired with computers or mobile phones.

8.3. No Sound from Earphones/Speaker
- Check the volume level on the MP3 player and the connected audio device.
