Operating Instructions
Android 9.0 OS Navigation
The projector runs on Android 9.0, providing a smart interface similar to a smartphone or tablet. Use the remote control, or a connected mouse/keyboard, to navigate the menus and launch applications.

3D Functionality
The BYINTEK R17 supports Real 3D (DLP Shutter Active 3D) for an immersive viewing experience. To enjoy 3D content, you will need compatible active shutter 3D glasses (sold separately).

The projector offers multiple projection modes to suit different setups:
- Front: Standard projection from in front of the screen.
- Rear: Projection from behind a translucent screen.
- Ceiling Front: Inverted projection for ceiling mounting in front of the screen.
- Ceiling Rear: Inverted projection for ceiling mounting behind a translucent screen.
MEMC and HDR10

Maintenance
General Care
- Keep the projector in a clean, dust-free environment.
- Clean the lens gently with a soft, lint-free cloth designed for optical surfaces.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the projector to prevent overheating.
- When not in use, store the projector in a protective case or cover.
LED Lamp Life
The projector uses an OSRAM RGB 3LED light source with an impressive lifespan of 50,000 hours. This means you can enjoy approximately 20 years of use if the projector is used for 4 hours per day, significantly reducing the need for lamp replacement.

Troubleshooting
- No Image/Poor Image Quality: Check all cable connections (HDMI, power). Ensure the lens is clean and adjust focus and keystone correction. Verify the input source is correctly selected.
- No Sound: Check the volume settings on both the projector and the connected device. Ensure external speakers are properly connected if used.
- Remote Control Not Working: Check battery levels in the remote. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the projector's IR receiver.
- WiFi Display Issues: Confirm both devices are on the same WiFi network. Restart both the projector and the casting device.
- App Compatibility: While the projector runs Android 9.0, some newer streaming applications may not be fully compatible or may require specific versions. Consider using external streaming devices connected via HDMI for broader app support.
- 3D Not Working: Ensure you are playing compatible 3D content and using active shutter 3D glasses.
User Tips
- For the best 3D experience, ensure you have active shutter 3D glasses, as they are typically not included with the projector.
- If you encounter issues with certain streaming apps or features like Chromecast, consider connecting an external streaming stick (e.g., Fire TV Stick, Roku, Apple TV) to the projector's HDMI port for broader compatibility and up-to-date app versions.
- When using the projector outdoors on battery power, keep an eye on the battery indicator. The 1.5-2.5 hour battery life is suitable for a single movie or a short presentation.
- Utilize the corner keystone correction feature for flexible placement, allowing you to project a perfectly rectangular image even when the projector is not directly centered with the screen.
